Just bought my second Skoda (the first was a Felicia Pickup many years ago for about 12months) my new purchase is a 2016 Fabia Monte Carlo 110. certainly quick enough to get me both out of trouble in traffic and perhaps into trouble with the cops! it replaces the most boring car I've ever owned a Dacia Sandero 1.2 owned from new for 8 years. don't get me wrong it was reliable and dependable enough it just had zero charisma...
Although my wife doesn't drive she has always had a soft spot for Skodas, ever since her dad had an Estelle as she was growing up! then her grandparents bought a Mk1 Fabia new just as we met. Her Auntie has a 2017 1.2 MPI model which I did like the look of... so when we started looking for a replacement for the Dacia, my wife suggested a Fabia, I said yes sounds good but i want a particular spec, I wasn't having a boring car this time. A Monte Carlo 1.2 TSI 110 model was what I looked for... and found one within 5 minutes at a car supemarket. 2 hours later we had put a deposit on it. it now sits on my drive with my personalised reg on it. I truly love it, I've had a few interesting cars in the past an Impreza, Astra GTE and a coupe of MGB Gt's and of course an obligatory (for my generation 50 something) BL Mini, this car easily sits amongst that list, the gadgets are great the striped red and grey interior is fantastic.
Anyway less of the waffling here's some pics! It does have 18's on it which aren't Skoda originals (I believe) so I've declared them as a modification on the insurance just to be sure. And it is the standard red colour the first photo makes it look almost burnt orange (i think the bright sun fooled my phone)
