  1. Auto electrician say the machines says a crankshaft sensor fault so going to try changing that first.
  2. Thanks, yes it was the glow plug light flashing. It's back at the auto electrician today but was behaving itself so no lights on. He said he's unlikely to be able to diagnose if there's no issues presenting at the time.
  3. So now the pre heating unit warning light has come on. I switched off the ignition and restarted it and the whole car was shuddering. I've just gone to try again and it started no problem. This is really doing my head in!
  4. I haven't had the ABS sensors changed... Have you and has it resolved it?
  5. I've had it to a reputable local auto electrician. I've mentioned possible battery issues but he's said that it categorically is not a battery issue... A strong opinion certainly. He cleared the catalogue of faults and said to bring it back when it does it again. The problem is that the fault is very intermittent. It's booked back in later in the month but he's said that if there are no warning lights on he might not be able to diagnose.
  6. Was the battery coded in?
  7. Mine is booked in with an auto electrician next month. I'll let you know what happens, but as soon as I described what was happening, he said it sounded like an ABS sensor fault.
  8. Thanks for this. Unfortunately, I don't understand any of it and wouldn't know where to start. I think I'm going to have to take it to an auto electrician as it seems from replies above it could be anything. I don't have the understanding or skills to do any work myself.
  9. Thanks, to be fair I think the tyre sensor became faulty first and started flashing, indicating a fault.
  10. Thanks, could I ask the cost of repair roughly please?
  11. What does codes mean?
  12. Thanks for replying. No I haven't had the battery changed. I've had it scanned but there wasn't anything obvious apart from some of the temperature readings being extremely high (2200 degrees) or very low (-273).
  13. Hi all Recently, my superb has started losing power for a split second while driving. This has been intermittent but has become more frequent. It's also causing multiple issues as in photos that can be cleared by switching off the engine, taking the key out then restarting. When it does this, the idle revs increase. The mechanic has suggested a can bus error Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts or similar experiences?
  14. Hi, thanks for your reply. I've tried resetting using this method but didn't rectify unfortunately. Was the latch mechanism expensive?
  15. Hi all,u tailgate won't close all of a sudden. I noticed it beeped once before closing for a couple of days but still worked. Now it gets down to the closed position but pops back up and beeps. I'm struggling to close it and lock it. Any advice appreciated!
