  1. Okay, so it sounds like the warranty might cover more than just the dealer I bought it from, so if there's the option of taking it to the skoda dealer down the road then I'll do that. Otherwise it sounds like the water pump or thermostat are the likely suspects, so if I do need to go back to the original vendor then at least I can point them in the right direction. Cheers for the input!
  2. Morning all - I was hoping to make a bit more of a contribution to the forum before asking for advice, but as my new (to me) Superb has sprung a worsening coolant leak and is only under a 3 month warranty I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've had the car just under two weeks and in that time I've topped-up the expansion tank with 3 litres of coolant. Whilst there was no evidence of a leak previously, that's changed in the past couple of days: I've managed to trace the leak back to somewhere just above what I assume is the gearbox, so before I go back to the Nissan dealer I bought it from, I'd really appreciate it if anyone can suggest what the culprit is likely to be: I wouldn't be as concerned if I was taking it to a Skoda dealer, but given that they're not, any advice would be much appreciated.
  3. Morning all - just bought my first Skoda and given how helpful the Nutz forum has been for my MX5, I thought I should join the equivalent! 18 plate Superb 1.4tsi SE L Executive in the somewhat divisive Magentic Brown. Refinement is night and day compared to the Astra it replaced and the fuel consumption is better too. See you around!
