I get 500-550 on average '' to fill the car up i pay £60 and my commute is all A roads with a couple of duel carriageways and my average is 47-48 mpg at present. I also have a Revo remap.

Well after looking at a handful of VR'S ,i finally found my ideal car a Octavia VRS LTD Edition 170 CR. Love the colour and everything about it'' i was not to sure of the wheels at first but i like them now!! i think when i replace those stock springs and put some nice subtle tints on the rear quarters and a good remap'' the car will be even better. I have had some high powered petrol cars but i wanted a good mix of good fuel economy aswell'' and some decent power and looks, the remap will i am sure make a difference!! and the springs may stop abit of the body roll too, even my 12yr old commented on the body roll lol. Overall i think its 'a fantastic well equipped car and i think more owners of other car brands should try them, they dont know what they are missing.

Hi everyone'' what are the overall opinions on the cr version vrs hatchback,, ie face lift version or the previous. I am looking at the moment at vrs's but cannot make my mind up between the two, i am looking for 09 onwards, would there be much difference in the equipment levels'' i prefere to have a 6 speed manual version. Regards.

Thanks for all the help,i think i'll go for fully synthetic, mind you i did use quantum silver in my vr6 which wasn't bad oil and a good price. Thanks again.

Afternoon, I have a 2004 vrs and i was wondering what oil will be best for the car as i do alot of town driving with regular stop starts 5w-30 or 10w-40. The car as done 43,500 miles and as been serviced every 10,000 miles by the dealership, i was thinking would it be best to change the oil every 5000 miles due to the town driving. Many thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply, i will try to pull or drill them out i'm not taking the risk of sticking them on again, at least i know not to try and unscrew them now, as i thought not much was happening. many thanks.

HELLO, yes it is just spinning now ,i want to bolt the rear number plate surround on like i did on my mk3 golf, i,ve had the surround stuck on with the sticky pads because i struggled to undue them when i bought the car, but last night the surround fell off on my drive, i had 3 sticky pads on it as well:eek: the front ones are screwd on. I will buy the bolts when i get those rivnuttes out but they did loosen. can they come out.

First of all hello to everyone, I have a octavia vrs and i just want to know where the number plate fixes to the rear of the car there are to holes and they have a longish type bolt on the inside of the hatch does that just unscrew because mine as loosened but i think they are seased, i need to bolt on my plastic surround number plate holders, i'm worried about it in case i do damage, i may have to drill them out as the metal bits on the out side the hatch are rusty. many thanks btw great site.oh and iv'e tried the search:)
