  1. Seriously?? Wanna buy my car then? 🤣 I disagree that its not a real issue, I don't think I'm alone either. I might try you suggestion though as I'm not getting anywhere with Skoda 🤔
  2. Hi all - we've had our Mk5 for almost 2 months now and have already had the car back to the dealer re the kangarooing issue... apparently a total of 3 Skoda techs failed to find this fault 🙄 even from a cold start as we left the car with them ovetnight for this very test. The guy I spoke to in the service dept advised that they had updated the software twice, however this was just for the infotainment only.... they did suggest a further assisted test drive which might help, however having read about this on this forum and the Honest John website, I feel they may simply advise that the jerking is a bonus feature/characteristic of the engine 😀 This is our first Skoda and a big purchase for our family, we're quite astonished by their response and generally disappointed as it seems it may be a long way off being resolved. I read somewhere that there was also a technical bulletin from VAG acknowledging this issue... does anyone else know about this? or any other docs from VAG/Skoda mentioning the fault? Pretty sure we can't all be making it up!! If we can't get this resolved via the proper channels, there may be another way to address this but hopefully it won't come to that.
  3. Could be a hybrid perk!? BTW the mpg stats for that if accurate ate amazing 👏
  4. Yep looks like keyless stop/start only on se technology! Works for us though 👍
  5. Thanks all! Some really info here on the modes in general! So as others have already mentioned the SE tech does not have the driving modes, therefore the only "modes" I have is eco or normal for the ACT... although it seems like switching is controlled by the engine management system 🤔 ah well
  6. No it doesn't pull I meant push back under heavy acceleration, when the engine picks up the other 2 cylinders my bad! But yea you notice 😜
  7. My brother in law has a 2017 Octavia ST DSG (do we say ST in here or estate?) Anyway the only switch between 2 and 4 cylinders I noticed was the pull and sudden engine scream 🤣
  8. OK many thanks.. I know its a bit of a gimmick but it would have been nice to tweak throttle response and suspension for different driving scenarios.
  9. Hi all - I'm sure this has been asked before but is there any overall guide that explains which trims have the driving modes? From what I can tell this seems to be on the SE-L, first edition and L&K trims only... a dealer previously advised me that they are included on ALL new SEATS (physical button on FR only) just wondered if Skoda did the same... thanks
  10. Hi all 👋 Just in the process of buying our first Skoda! So excited!! seen a few really good discussions about car specs, tips etc on Briskoda and thirsty for more 😄 I'm based in Cambs and have a small family, so obviously I'm a careful, courteous driver 😉 our other car is a Leon so we are already sold on the VAG/MQB brilliant 😍 OK thats all for now. Caio, AJ
