Well, changed to continental style flat beam( using useful instructions on BriSkoda) seems no worse, and possible a little more consistent, - possibly because less side spread.

Not just Face lift Octavias, had projector headlamps on my BMW 530d that would barely illuminate my drive. BM Garage unbothered. Better/silverstar H7s or whatever helped fractionally. Recently got my Mk2 facelift, and scared myself driving on a rainy night. Better with Osram Nightbreakers, but going to try flattening the beam to Continental style ( MOT Tester friend says now legal in UK) , as suspect may improve things. Will report back.

Hi, new to this, and sure it has been covered before. Just got a mark 2 , but no sign of wheel nut key. Seems to be a 15 spline one, or so my photo indicates, BUT replacement I ordered is too large- seems a larger diameter than cavity. This is where someone tells me there are different sized wheel nuts, but who knew. Need one, asap 'cos my car , a 1.9 tdi, has never had a cam belt change, and I have arranged it for next week. Bill T
