  1. Just to rule out a faulty coil pack, I got another new one NGK but again it made no difference. Also poured a drop of redex in cylinder and left to soak and treated fuel tank as well. So far no difference evident. Whilst driving today EML came on (as before P0302) but so too did the TCS light. Really struggling where to next. Appreciate any thoughts.
  2. Sorry not sure if you meant brand of plugs and leads fitted. These were only done 2 weeks ago. Plugs are Bosch and Leads are Intermotor. Coil was also Intermotor but motor factors took it back when it didn't make a difference.
  3. Many thanks for reply. Car only has 80k km now. It has a timing chain kit and head rebuild at 65km (2 years ago) when it broke a chain and bent valves. Really strange as always serviced on time. Has driven well for 2 years since head rebuild and just developed this issue.
  4. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this query. Appreciate any advice.
  5. Is this a chain engine or timing belt.
  6. Hi Above car has erratic idle and slight misfire. Generally drives ok in higher ranges with full pulling power. EML comes randomly on with P0302 code (Cylinder 2 misfire) and sometimes the Electronic Stability Control light as well. Changed plugs (long life) and leads but made no difference. Put a new coil pack on but it made no difference so have returned to the original one. I thought it was coil pack as 2 of the pins looked a bit corroded on original coil pack and 2 were bright shiny. Unless of course the new coil pack was faulty but unlikely I guess. Compression test is all fine. Any ideas what is likely to be the cause. Could it be an injector and is there a way to check the injector. Appreciate any help.
  7. Hi Car has 65k miles, regular service, no previous issues. Wouldn't start this evening and wife thinks she saw a TSR message on dash but disappeared. No EML on. I read codes and P0341 camshaft sensor Bank A was present. Any thoughts if this is likely to be a sensor failure needing a swap out or is it indicative of something else. Removed the connector to sensor and no evidence of oil or corrosion etc. Appreciate any advice. Many thanks Matt
