  2. Morning all I'm not sure if this has been asked before but have any members succesfuly fitted so called vehicle specific aftermarket mudflaps to a Superb Mk3 hatchback/estate. I went to buy a set of front and rear genuine Skoda mudguards/flaps and nearly died at the price from the dealer even on E-Bay and amazon adverts that appeared to be genuine were a pretty horrendous price . There seems to be several types and sizes both rigid ABS and rubber claiming to be vehicle specific on E-bay and Amazon but when comparing the pictures to those of genuine Skoda they look nothing like them or look like cheap tat. I'm not being tight but my L&K came with a set factory fitted and now two have come detached and been lost and the car looks naff !! Based on personal experience does anyone have any links to what they consider to be good quality preferably the rigid ones similar to OEM. TIA
  3. Thanks for the welcome seeing what you done to your VRS the first thing I want to do do is change the boot lights to LED as you basically cant see bugger all any recommendations available in UK rather that China via E-Bay !!! and any recommendations for strut brace is it vehicle specific or generic adjustable?
  4. Had lots of cars some starting with a Cortina 1600l in a disgusting Brown through various Capri's until I chucked Ford away with a Sierra Cosworth 4X4 followed by some totally impractical Caterham 7, TVR Chimaera 4.3 but she who must be obeyed complained you couldn't get many Asda Shopping bags in either of them then I got a bit sensible with various Audi's first an 80 then a 100 Avant followed by various Audi Allroad Quattro models having the last Audi written off by a rear end insurance scammer and the need for a huge boot capability to put a cage in for the dogs I ended up with a Volvo V70 swiftly followed by a V90 Cross Country AWD Auto only to find in my that AWD and auto really don't combine well in the forests of my home area in Galloway Scotland Getting old and lazier in my driving style and fancying a bit more comfort for regular 1000+ mile trips back to Scotland during the first lockdown i had plenty of time for much never ending research for something suitable that could fulfil all the practical requirements of the household, being able to get a week's shopping in the boot, etc and once out of warranty with an engine I could play with to my hearts content. Out of the blue on Skoda UK popped up a fully specced with absolutely every possible option on it 2017 Yes 2017 ! 2.0TSI Superb Lauren and Klement but with only 2014 miles on it !! Only trouble it was 500 miles away and we were still in a pretty tight lockdown even the garages had just opened. Hours of haggling with some very irritating I'm better than you obnoxious irritating sales **** £4000 off free delivery on transporter and a two year warranty it arrived and first MOT free! Wife loved it instantly huge boot loads of room so many buttons to play with .... easy to satisfy !! Then she pointed out I'm an wide load HGV driver that comes home from work covered in crap daily and I just bought a full almost white cream leather interior most sensible people would have black in my job !! I got so much useful information on here when researching what to buy so I decided it's time that I joined.
