Hi, I have been informed by my local Skoda dealership that from last month, Skoda has changed the suggested frequency that you should have your cam belt changed. It used to be 5 years, however now I am being informed that it is 15 years or 140,000 miles! Don't get me wrong, if this is true, it saves me money, however I wanted to check to see if anyone else is aware of this, and why this has now changed ?

Hi all my fabia is coming up to 3 years old this year and the air con is working well, however I wondered whether an air con service which includes a re-gas is worth it ?. I know that as part of this service, they treat the system with antibacterial chemicals etc. has anyone had it done? Is it recommended or is it a waste of money ? I've been quoted £140 which seems to be the Skoda dealerships going rate

Hi my Fabia is coming up to 3 years old, and with Skoda offering the option to purchase an extended warranty, I wanted to know if anyone has had an experience with one ? it will cost the best part of £350 for 12 months, and I am unsure if this is worth it? Any views welcome

Hi I've have taken off the terrible looking areo caps off today and fitted wheel bot covers and the middle Skoda cap, however I noticed that the alloys have a inner rim which seems to collect water when washing the wheels, just wondering if anyone has had the same issue? If it's just a case of drying it out when I wash the car then fine, but wondered if this could cause any other issues ? Also on taking off the areo caps I noticed that it's left a few marks where the caps used to be (clipped in). Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and where there is any way of getting the marks off?

Hi I have a 2 year old Fabia and due to some of the B roads I travel down I notice that I seem to get a lot of kick up of mud from the wheel. I was considering getting a quote to supply and fit mud flaps on the front and back of my car from a Skoda main dealer. just wondering on peoples views and for those of you who do have a set, are they worth it and potential cost?

Hi All i seem to be getting conflicting information from different Skoda dealerships ref air con servicing my questions are: How often does a air con service need to be carried out ? How often does a regas need to be be completed ? what is the main difference ? any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi all I have just ordered a new Fabia which comes with 16inch Proxima alloys. I notice that it comes with air drills on the wheel, however the wheel bits/locking wheel nuts are not visible. Can anyone advise what the purpose of these grills are and how you access the wheel bolts? thanks

Hi can anyone advise on the difference between purchasing genuine ŠKODA break pads and discs vs brands for euro car parts such as Brembo, Pagid etc? Which pads are best? Would I be spending a premium on what could essentially be the Skoda stamp on the break pads which are made by one of the manufactures like Brembo etc? Please advise

I have been given a settlement figure and the account details where the funds needs to be transferred. it's a large some of money and I am interested to know how if anyone else has gone through this process and how efficient ŠKODA are at processing the payment and how long it takes for them to confirm that the car has been paid off
