  1. Going to give it a go I think. No harm before flushing anyway. Thanks for the input 👍
  2. How does this go on getting rid of radweld? I know I have a limited flow through the pipes so any ideas if this will increase flow if I take it for a blast over say 70 miles?
  3. Hi i made the fatal mistake during the summer of putting radweld into the expansion bottle to solve a very minor leak. It did however create more problems than it solved. i have replaced heater matrix which was gunked and not working at all. Now however my heaters blow warm but only Luke warm and I’m pondering whether to put a dishwasher tablet in to clean the remaining radweld out of the system and then flush and replace coolant. has anyone ever done this and did it do the job of removing the remaining radweld? thanks
  4. That’s what they look like - the elbows are thick and mean I can’t get to the nut that is displayed on urbanpanzers diagram. I did undo the clip before and give it a good pull but it didn’t seem to want to go anywhere. I guess I’ll give it another go. thank you to both of you. If anyone has any experience of i doing them please let me know 👍
  5. Can anybody help me please? I have been attempting to remove the heater matrix and to replace on my mk2 2012 1.6tdi. I am 99% of the way there (done the internal dismantling to remove through footwell etc). However I am flummoxed as to how the pipes come off that attach to the matrix through the bulkhead and don’t want to yank and break them. There are 2 pipe elbows with clips on that go into the plastic inlet/outlet. I am aware I need to get the pipes off to access the single spline bolt to remove the matrix. How do the pipes come off?
