I purchased my Yeti from new in June 2013, and as of September 2021 it's taken me 83,000+ miles around the UK and Ireland to great satisfaction.
Before purchasing my Yeti, I owned a Fabia VRS which was a fun introduction to the Skoda world. However, it wasn't great when it came to snow covered hilly roads, and after having to abandon it while trying to get home to a menagerie of pets; fortuitously getting a ride in a tractor with snow plough attached, I resolved to never be in that situation again and started looking for my next car.
It was suggested at this time that I consider getting a Yeti... Not being much of a petrolhead, I'd not heard of the Yeti at this time, and laughed, saying "I'm not going to buy a car called that!".
The test drive sold it to me. It was a simple transition from the Fabia, everything looking the same and despite being bigger, it drove like a small car.
I opted for the Elegance 2.0 AWD model and I've been enjoying all it's features ever since. Slightly annoyingly, I've never been in a snowy, hilly situation where I've needed to call on my car's superpowers! Thanks, global warming.
