Good day people!
I have been looking at the option of using Shell GTL 'diesel' to bring my emissions down for an upcoming emission test,
it's a little smokey at times, and possibly using it for the long term as well.
I have heard it could make rubber seals shrink and/or leak due to the lack of toluene and benzene in GTL
and the fact that it has a lower specific gravity as opposed to normal Diesel.
So I am hesitant of trying it out on the vehicle I am relying on,
since I am not really looking forward to replacing injectors or injector seals, because those are expensive.
Have any of you tried this in your old 1.9 TDI with pump injection, if so. How has your experience been?
Do you recommend it or is it not worth the risk, not even for a single fuel up to get through the emission test.
Thank you for reading.
