That was my first thought. I bought a replacement but it does the same thing. I can't feel any problem while driving. It pulls and revs high nicely. The fuel consumption is normal. When reading the codes nothing shows up.

HI, I recently bought a 2002 Octavia vRS. The car is amazing but has an issue which worries me. Everytime I open the gas cap it hisses and I hear the tank popping as it goes back into it's shape. This happened a few times and i started driving with the gas cap a little bit opened. My suspicion is the evap system, but i'm not sure. I don't want to change the parts which are completly fine. I am not a native English speaker, if you haven't noticed already.
