  1. Like with Another CPB, this just baffles me. I've had a good poke around the internet as well as these threads on the subject of the missing towns and villages on the Amundsen SatNav. Also asked my dealer by email if and when it will be fixed (no response, silence is eloquent). Also asked a vendor of SatNav updates if their latest update fixes the problem, another eloquent silence. Spoke to another dealer on the phone who talked about online upgrades and Android Auto but it seemed to me he had been previously briefed on what to say and what not to say, he definitely avoided the direct questions. It seems the problem is certainly a software/firmware glitch and it is with Skoda not the map software supplier so, once Skoda resolve it, fixing it would just need publishing an update, not a huge expense of recalling loads of cars or anything like that. And for Skoda to carry on merrily selling cars with this problem feels like a throwback to the Soviet era. (Or has the Amundsen unit been superseded now?) I'd love to hear if anyone knows what is really going on - I guess it must be more difficult than I think or it really would have been sorted out? Have Skoda said anything 'on the record' on the subject? On a practical point, is it possible to 'downgrade' the map version on my (2020 MKIII) Octavia to an older one which will show towns and villages? That way I could see where I'm driviing even if a few roads are out of date. ps apart from this I'm hugely impressed with the car
