UPDATE!! Thanks all for the help. Thought it might be a loose wire in the door to body gators so gave it a jiggle and..................................... All the windows stopped working and the car wouldn't lock on central locking!! Having proved it must be a broken wire I took the door gator out last night and the main power wire was broken, about 3mm from where it disappears inside the door! I have managed to get a small terminal block on it for now and everything is now working as it should so the very loose connection must have been the problem. I am fully expecting it to go again soon as it really isn't a good connection but I didn't have time to remove the door card etc and splice in a new wire further back into the door. A job for a whole dry day I feel! Anyway, it does show that a poor connection can have really strange symptoms. I had ruled it out because there was always power to the windows but it would appear that the poor connection was the issue all along. Thanks again everyone for your help and advice. Strat.

I have tried all the window fuses, any idea which fuse I may need to check? Also, apologies for my lack of knowledge but what is the BCM? Thanks

Hi all, I have the well documented and discussed problem where my car forgets the one touch window settings, and therefore the folding mirrors. I have read just about everything I could find on this and have tried everything, pulling fuses, disconnecting battery etc but the problem persists. The specific issue is that if I perform the "window down/hold/window up/hold" sequence when driving the one touch and folding mirrors settings return and the mirrors fold on second press when locking, all good. The reset always works. The problem is that once I restart the car the settings are immediately lost, so I basically have to reset the one touch windows on every single journey. Has anyone any experience of this and more importantly, found a solution? many thanks for any group knowledge, StratMan.
