  1. Thanks very much. I’m still unsure whether a full size spare wheel will fit though as I can’t currently remove one of my wheels to try. I have no jack or access to one. Do you know if a 16” diameter wheel with 55 aspect ratio tyre = 632mm total diameter and 205mm width tyre will fit in the spare wheel well?
  2. No I have no jack unfortunately. Am looking to buy a wheel and spare wheel kit.
  3. Cheers, just need to know if it’ll fit in the well. I know some cars’ spare wheel well is only big enough for a space saver, not full size wheel.
  4. I know there are lots of ‘spare wheel’ threads but I couldn’t find an answer to my query. I have an Octavia Estate mk3 2016 1.2. It has no spare wheel but the gunge option. I’d like to buy a wheel and spare wheel kit but… as I have no jack I can’t take a wheel off to see if it will fit in the boot. Ideally I’d prefer to but a like-for-like wheel rather than a space saver. Tyre size 205/55 R16. Anyone know if this size wheel would fit in the boot, in the wheel well?
  5. Thanks so much for replying. I’ll start investigating nearby options.
  6. Many thanks for your reply. I’ll do just that. Do you know if a remap can be undone?
  7. My vRS estate 2009 has a problem with fuel injectors and my local garage thinks the issue might well have been caused by a remap at some point. The diagnostic tool they use keeps giving errors indicating a remap. Can a remap be undone back to factory defaults and if so, would a Skoda garage be recommended as I have very little history of the car and no idea where it was remapped. Many thanks.
  8. I’ve recently bought an Octavia VRS estate 09 with Columbus system. I too can’t find the “EQ Settings” listed in The manual. The sound, in particular via an iPod thru the aux input is harsh and shrill. Not quite what I expected from a stereo that’s meant to be an upgrade to the Bolero. The high/mid/low faders don’t correct the issue, rather take the tonal balance completely out. Not impressed. My 09 standard Honda Civic stereo was much cleaner. Had a look at the Kenwood DNX521upgrade mentioned elsewhere in this forum but bit expensive. Any ideas anyone? I’ve recently bought an Octavia VRS estate 09 with Columbus system. 9. Only just had a service. Hmm!
  10. Don’t think so. Doesn’t sound like it’s struggling to start, just takes a few seconds. Recently serviced.
  11. Should my Octavia VRS TFSI 2.0 take about 3 seconds to fire up from first turning the key in the ignition? Just bought it. Always ignites but seems a tad unusual.
