failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
P.S. The module 16(steering) was probably ticked on before accidently!

failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
Aaand here we go, today is the day:) resoldered the connection i was suspecting, turned on vcds, messed around, and the module 16 (steering wheel) was causing my problems. It was showing “no communication with module”. I ticked it off in the gateway list and almost everything started working. The right side slider seems to do nothing, and i have the same airbag issue (resistance too high) i’ve tried putting on my old one, nothing changes. Besides that, everything is complete! Won’t mess around with the airbag for now, since its not bothering me as much yet, but i will still keep you updated about the slider. Have a good one!

failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
So i’ve ran into a problem again, most likely the wiring is faulty. Scanned the fabia with vcds, it showed no connection with the Steering wheel module (16). Also, another fault was 00588 or something like that “driver airbag resistance too high”. I’ve checked the airbag, its not the faulty part( i’ve tried plugging in my old airbag with harness from the other airbag and etc, airbag is not faulty.)

failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
Whoops, didn't mean to send only that haha. I installed the vw repair wires instead of pins i've picked up before. Apparently the pins i used in the start did not make a proper connection with the connector (picture uploaded down below) . After properly connecting everything up, the horn was not bleeping anymore when i put the fuse back in haha. Tommorow im heading to a friend, who has a vcds cable and knows some coding ( retrofitted a newer mfsw into his passat b6, did the goldendot cluster retrofit and similar stuff..) as much as i've gathered information, and by looking at the 6R polo tutorial that does not look hard at all. I will update you all tomorrow about the coding, and maybe even the results. Have a good one

failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
Hello! Yes i see😅 i have indeed checked the diagrams, apparently my pin 17 was white-black, in fabias its not/not always violet-white, as i was told. My cable colors are a bit faded, probably because of age or rubbing with other cables. At first i thought it was yellow-black, but that was my fault. I was looking at cables with a yellow-ish flashlight, so it made me think otherwise. Everything is wired correctly, waiting for my “repair wires”, i think the pins i soldered on to the cable were slightly too short(at least one of them) or they are protruting a bit too much and touching eachother. ill update a few days later, when i put in the genuine vw pins for the connector! about the bcm - EDDIE-NL has told me, that he doesn’t see a reason for the bcm to be faulty/not suitable for the retrofit im doing, it should be good thank you for help everyone who is following.

Do you happen to know, is my current bcm enough(6r7937087H)? or should i upgrade to the mentioned?(6r7937087P). By the way, is this 7h0937089B and this 6r7937087P the same?

No need to be grumpy, its not stickers or a bodykit on a fabia, its a steering wheel. Besides, i have money for fuel, no worries

@sepulchrave simply because i want it its my first car and i thought i'd love that upgrade, since i've gotten the wheel quite cheap.

@26DIPP im sure its wired in properly heh:( i might know the problem, its probably two wire pins touching together, im pretty sure i ripped some heat shrink when i installed stuff back. Ill update.

failed MFSW(Multi-function steering wheel) retrofit
Hey, I'm in desperate need of help, i've tried every single forum looking for help, but i have failed to get it. A man in UK fabia facebook group sent me this link, since i was retrofitting a mfsw wheel.https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=54171&fbclid=IwAR0uLvYVZjGjkhBt6AdbQDLQWQTETPDBWDH7ovEwhKqxM2qN5S2ELTenKqQ After completing some steps, i encountered a step with bcm - connecting a wire to violet-white wire(lin-bus) in pin 17 of bcm(white big plug, not the black one). I've separated the connector into two pieces, and in the pin 17 found a yellow, or sand colored wire instead of the mentioned violet-white(its for lin-bus). After connecting it, i thought i was done - since it was the last step before coding. I've reconnected the battery, turned on ignition aaaaand the horn is bleeping constantly, until you shut down the ignition. Buttons do not light up either on the msfw:( Parts in my car: BCM - 6r7937087H ( i was told to change it to 6r7937087P and apparently the mfsw should be good for coding?) a Steering wheel: it was the same as this, but no buttons, and i installed this : https://imgur.com/a/e6ZTUWM
