Hi all - New first ever poster here from New Zealand.
Firstly, my apologies if this topic has been covered previously, however I am in a hurry to potentially conclude a deal as otherwise I may miss out.
Anyway - after nearly 20 years of driving Renaults, I have just purchased my first Skoda - a 2017 (pre facelift) Octavia vRS liftback with 6 speed DSG. This car has factory fitted 18" Gemini rims, however it comes with only a space saver spare. In NZ (particularly the South Island) space savers are not particularly practical due to some of the distances between the remote rural towns.
I am therefore looking at full size second hand rims from wreckers yards, but all the Octavia wheels have been sold. One wrecker has offered me an 18" rim from a 2015 year Skoda Superb- this appears to be a 5 x point star pattern, with each spoke comprising 3 x individual "spokes".
Can anybody please advise me whether this wheel would interchange successfully between the Superb & my Octavia? I'm not concerned with the appearance of having mismatched wheels, but I am concerned whether such a set up would upset open road handling - particularly if it borders on the unsafe!
Thanks for any advice.
