  1. A really big thank you to both of you for your kind offers, both very much appreciated. peter3197, amazingly, we are near(ish) neighbours, I'm only down the road in Kettering! I've had a fairly good offer from a seller on ebay, so I'm going to order that one. Thanks for that part number Peter, but pretty much every one I have looked at for the MkIII look identical apart from colour/material, and as I said in my original post, the digits after 871 change. I'll take a gamble on this one and rely on ebays/sellers returns policy. Thank you both once again.
  2. Only my second post, so straight in with a question. Just bought a Mk III 13 plate 2.0Tdi estate and looking for the load cover/parcel shelf thing. I have a part number of 5E9867871C9ET132 but not sure if this is correct? Seems like there are a few MkIII ones on ebay, but the part number after the 871 bit changes, e.g 871B9ET/871B9ET117/8711R5117. What's the difference? Is it just the colour/material style?
  3. Hi all. Just bought a 13 plate Octavia 2.0Tdi Estate, and looking for some help on some questions I have. Been looking into the site for a few months as an unregistered lurker...I know, it's a dirty habit, but you should see whats going on over at the VW forums!! Anyway, long story short. We are losing the wife's work car, a Vauxhall Adam, so decided we wanted something a bit bigger to replace it. Have spent a few weeks looking around at a few motors, Ford Focus/Mondeo's, Passat, Audi's, etc. Looked at a couple of MkII's, even looked at a couple of Superbs, but eventually found a MkIII fairly local and in tidy condition. So collected today and apart from the slightly dog smell it's all looking good. The wife will be using it for her commute. I'll be staying with our Abarth 595 for my shorter commute, so the Octavia is going to be my big comfy evening and weekend toy, might not even ride a motorbike this weekend! 😔. I'm off to post my first question, so thanks for looking at my first post and thanks in advance for all your knowledge an help.
