  1. Well today out of nowhere, I got a call from dealer that my car has arrived to Slovenia. They told me, that there was no information in their system that car was on it's way, they just got informed that car has arrived. So when I get a car, it will be almost one year since I ordered it (ordered on 1st of February 2021). Car is RS 2.0 TSI DSG hatch.
  2. Yesterday I send email to my dealer since it was one month from last email to remind him that I still exist and while he did not have any new news he did call importer and got following news (all cars are Octavia RS): 2 customers are waiting for cars that were ordered in December 2020 1 customer is waiting for car that was ordered in January 2021 2 customers and me that ordered in February 2021 This is for Slovenia only. So it could be worse than it is
  3. I ordered petrol version but still don't have the car (10 months and counting) althogh it is build waiting parts. But you are right it looks like they are preferring lower emission vehicles and since I order 2.0 Tsi it doesn't count as low emission All latest post are mentioning 1.5 tsi cars, but not a lot of RS versions. I did talk to dealer about month ago and he said that they will try to finish all unfinished cars with missing parts by the end of year but I don't think that's true. I will talk to him again soon so he doesn't forget about me but I don't expect any new news
  4. @310golfr With situation that it is today, I would probably still order it, because as far as I know it is not any better with other manufacturers and I like Octavia RS look. If I could get some other car that I like sooner from other manufacturer, maybe I would considered it, but as I said I have no problem waiting, main issue for me is lack of communications (they know what chip my car is missing, but they don't want to tell me). @drnovshek You are correct, I order my car at Porsche Verovškova! I guess it is the same for all of us with this dealer. Very bad communication. @Senaid This is the main issue I have with them, they don't tell you what the missing part are. In our company we ordered Octavia (not RS) in April and we got it in July and also from this forum you can see that some people ordered their car later and got it sooner. What I would expect from dealer is that at least they tell me what part is delaying delivery, but when I asked them about this, I got the answer that nobody can tell me this, which is BS.
  5. Let me share my experience as well. I ordered my car on 1st of February and was quoted 1 to 3 months (no special additions, only heated seats and ACC). After almost 3 months there was no word from dealer, so I contacted him and asked what is the situation with my order. He then said that there are short delays because of chip shortage and that delivery is week 25 (end of June). So end of June was approaching and again no word from him so I contact him again at the beginning of June and he gives me delivery date for week 33 (end of August), saying that model year changed and this delayed delivery. Then on 24th of August I get email that car was produced and that I can expect delivery soon (I was a bit sceptical, since I read this forum and saw what was happening). So the story repeats itself no word from him, so I contacted him in middle of September and he says that car is produced but waiting missing parts with no info on delivery. In middle of October I contacted him again and I get same answer, car produced with missing part and no delivery date. So today (closing on 10 months) still waiting for some information about delivery. I also contacted Škoda directly but got same generic email response as everybody else on this forum. I understand that there is problem with chip production and have no problem waiting, but communication from my dealer is terrible and I'm pretty sure they know approximately when cars could be delivered but they choose to hide this information so that they can adjust deliveries that suits them and not customers. If they where more open about the situation and why cars are delayed, I think that people would be more understandable. But it is what it is, all we can do is wait @GregB11x at what dealership did you order you car? It looks like your dealer is more open about the situation.
