Mk3 1.5tsi ACT ticking noise
Thanks for this. Iv ordered a map sensor. Comes tomorrow.... hopefully that stops the ticking. - its strange cos its not noticeable when driving at like 20/30 mph. Just when idle / little revs

Mk3 1.5tsi ACT ticking noise
Car has a ticking noise that just happened today. - car drives fine - no loss of power - no engine management light - scanned with my car pal , no engine faults found - went into live data and it shows a fault on fuel system B2 Any ideas? Im wondering if my scanner isnt good enough to pick up any faults. Thanks people

1.6TDi 2017 has failed a fuel injector resulting in disaster
I had already spent money on the injectors. Reconned fuel pump was 500, and it was another 480 to do it (approx a day) all the fuel lines, rails etc and the tank had to be cleaned. Time consuming - diesel specialist adv me to run it into we buy any car and cut my losses right enough

Similar issue on mine. I put my injectors into diesel specialist who cleaned them and tested them. Hp pump replaced for 500 recon'd and full clean of fuel system. New filter and car drove spot on. Mine was a 18 plate

1.5 tsi act dsg
Ideal so basically change it when it goes...what's the deal with bleeding these systems? Do I need software or the old typical fill the reservoir and let it release air itself? Sorry about daft questions, just want to know lol

1.5 tsi act dsg
Jeez you'd think they'd just have upto date information, otherwise you end up guessing at it. Very confusing lol. I don't even care what needs done etc. I run my cars as "if it needs it, it gets it" and usually use genuine parts or OEM. My first ownership of a dsg.... but couldn't believe how well it drove and also how economical it was. Just hope it's reasonable around town etc

1.5 tsi act dsg
I'm not sure, the paper work was a print out from the 'skoda authorised network' I'm gonna get the car a full service at 40k, sparks pollen Air etc done. Garage I bought from have just done oil and filter service but I'll do that again at 40k

Does the gear box not need done every 40k?

1.5 tsi act dsg
Ideally it won't be near the main dealership.... it was just reading along the lines of the timing belt tool and it apparently not being as straight forward.

1.5 tsi act dsg
Nah what it was I just bought one yesterday... 19 plate with 33k on it. Full skoda history - 1.5tsi dsg. Drove it back from Glastonbury to Glasgow...400 miles approx and it ran at 58mpg. I was well impressed. I had seen somewhere about the 5yr thing being scrapped. I phoned my local dealership (hamilton) and they advised 5yr or 140k. Phoned Glasgow and they said fitted for life but said their recommendation would be change about 100-120k. When you say the waterpump doesn't need done? Does it not run off the same system on this engine?

1.5 tsi act dsg
Hi guys, forgive me but what is the story with the timing belt and water pump on this engine? I've read it requires specialist equipment? So I take it that's not the usual cam locking tool? I had a look and skoda offer fixed price for £973, does this include the waterpump? Any one got a 1.5 tsi act and had the timing belt replaced? Cheers
