  1. They’ve checked the new pump, all seemed ok, replaced an injector and asked me to run it for 200 m or so then take it back for checking. I’m left with a feeling that they’re not sure they’ve nailed the problem! I’ll post when more news
  2. On both occasions it looks as if about 1/4-1/2 litre triggers the warning, as it’s happened twice I’m concerned as to whether it’s likely to affect the engine life (it’s only done 5k)
  3. Thanks, I’ve had one HP pump replaced (so I was told) but the problem has happened again. It’s back in the dealers so will see what happens
  4. Thanks, I’m hoping there’s some more info about this issue as I’m not confident that the dealer will sort it, my experience on a previous Skoda was that their default position was always to deny that there was a problem and give a large helping of BS!
  5. I’ve a 2021 model with 5k on the clock. A warning light came on a few weeks ago advising the oil level was too high. I rang the local service manager who’d never heard of this happening. A Skoda technician came out to check and said it was a known fault on these engines as the seals to the high pressure pump behind the cylinder head were known to fail allowing petrol to contaminate the oil. He said the pump had been redesigned to remove the problem. After 3 weeks waiting for a pump I got the car back last week and ran it around on the fuel in the tank until today when it needed refuelling. After 15miles the light came back on and the same issue has occurred so the car has to go back in again. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I’m somewhat cheesed off to say the least! Can it be a coincidence it’s failed soon after refuelling?
