  1. Hi! Long time since I’ve posted here. Just wanted to share my thoughts after spending a few days driving the new 2025 Skoda Kodiaq. I’ve been testing it thoroughly, so here’s my take on the good… and the not-so-good. Before I get into details, if you want to check out the full review, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/CpQei4KVtzA If you give it a like or subscribe, it really helps me out. Thanks! Engine and Driving It’s powered by a 2.0 turbo engine that honestly moves the car just fine. It’s not made to be fast, but it doesn’t feel slow either. It’s pretty relaxed, perfect for city driving or highway cruising with the family. The DSG7 gearbox is still one of the best in the VW group—super smooth and fast shifts. One interesting thing: even though this engine isn’t hybrid like the 1.5 version, the start-stop system works so smoothly it feels like there’s some electric assistance helping out. Suspension In the city, it’s super comfy… but quite bouncy. It handles small bumps well, but over speed bumps or road dividers, you really feel it jumping a bit too much. On the highway though, it improves a lot—feels stable even at higher speeds. Interior Space Inside, it’s huge. Front and second-row seats are super comfy. The third row is more for kids or short trips. Trunk space is generous, with practical solutions like a double floor, hidden compartments, and even a real spare tire (which you don’t see much these days). Interior quality feels like a big upgrade over the previous generation. Equipment Here’s the tricky part. It comes loaded with tech: auto braking, lane assist, blind spot sensors, etc. But… no adaptive cruise control. Yep, a $40k+ SUV and no ACC. Big negative for me. The infotainment is solid though, the multifunction knobs are practical, and the interior design is quite nice. But the reverse camera is pretty bad, and in the 2.0 version, there are no drive modes… which feels strange at this price point. Price & Conclusion It’s definitely not cheap. The 1.5 version starts around $37k, and the 2.0 easily goes over $41k. For that price, I expected more features. Still, if you’re after a comfy, spacious SUV with a nice interior design, it’s a solid option. But if fuel economy or top-tier tech features are your priority, there might be better options out there.
  2. Škoda brings the facelifted versions of its sibling models to Chile. On one hand, there's the Kamiq, which receives subtle changes—so subtle that you’d need to place them side by side to notice the differences. On the other hand, there's the Scala, which has a slightly more radical redesign at the front, with its new headlights giving it a look that, in my opinion, looks quite good. Starting with the Kamiq, the main headlights are now slightly larger, the daytime running lights are more streamlined, and we now gain LED fog lights, as the previous generation didn’t include them in any trim level. At the rear, there are very few changes, mainly in the lighting signature and the typography of the word "Škoda." Inside, the changes are also minimal, with some new materials and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster now standard. In terms of safety, it now comes equipped with Lane Assist, while still maintaining Front Assist. The engine options remain the same: a 1.0 TSI with 115 HP and 200 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, available only in the Selection trim, and for the Design trim, there's a 1.5 TSI with 150 HP and 250 Nm, also paired with a 7-speed DSG, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. **Video:** https://youtu.be/YzS6AcIglt4?si=Nilg6sAuxdhFgdKp ___ On the other hand, the Scala facelift truly transforms its front end, thanks solely to the change in headlights, as mentioned. At the rear, the changes are minimal: a subtle modification in the lighting signature and in the typography of the Škoda name. Inside, the alterations are equally minor, with improvements in materials and the addition of a digital instrument cluster as standard. In terms of safety, Lane Assist is added to the Autonomous Emergency Braking system. The engine remains the same, a 1.5 turbo with 150 HP and 250 Nm. This engine is rare in Latin America, where the 1.4 is usually available. The difference with this model is that it can feature cylinder deactivation on the highway, contributing to better fuel consumption, achieving up to 15 km/l in the city. **Video:** https://youtu.be/8Z8_vVyjXxc
  3. Hello I leave you a video that I made about my travel experience with an Octavia MK4, it was 780 kilometers one way and another 780 kilometers back! Consumption is in KM/L, it is our measure here in Chile, but translated into l/100km, the consumption for the outbound was 5.26 and the return 5.5 if the calculations do not fail me. I would appreciate it if you can like and subscribe to support the channel! First episode second episode

  5. Hello Well after about 1000 km with the Octavia I already have some comments The engine has enough power and consumption as approved by the brand here in Chile, which if I find that it is a little difficult to take off in first gear, I come from a 110 HP fabia mk3 1.0 TSI, and in first gear it was happier . Something that I found exquisite was the good soundproofing of the engine and good thrust from second gear, the isolation of the engine is so well achieved that it is not even noticeable when the start/stop is activated or when you release the clutch. The interior is spacious, a complete family can easily fit without problems, very good space in the rear seat and the trunk is huge 600lt, and with air conditioning outlets in the rear seats. It has very acceptable quality in front of the doors, dashboard, behind and the quality is low as typical VAG, one thing that surprised me is that almost all the compartments in the front up to the bottle holders are lined in a fabric to prevent things from rattling Things that do not enlarge me, the air conditioning all on the screen is somewhat difficult to get used to, yes, but it is not ideal for when you go on the road, Apple CarPlay or Android auto that is not seen in full screen, I feel that I can take better advantage of the screen, and some very minimal crickets inside but it is already something usual in VAG but in this case it is not so much it is "acceptable" Well, the best thing to highlight is definitely the comfort of the car, it is the best it has, the good profile of the "205/55 r17" tires and the suspension do an excellent job eating up the imperfections of the road, on the road it is plumb although something that What caught my attention is that it has a lot of tire noise, what happens through the door, since in the city the car feels quite soundproof. A favorable point that I did not expect is the sound that the car brings sounds quite good, the one that is sold here in Chile is not signed by any brand, My old Fabia had a sound that had to be installed with a third party that sounded quite powerful, and incredibly the octavia sounds much better despite being from the factory, it has good bass and excellent quality, according to the file it has 8 speakers, one of them in the center of the dashboard that makes the sound surround you. The car has much more to tell but as I experience them I will tell. Here is a video of a POV that I did.
  6. Hello, I would like to know if others have had this notice, it turns out that since I picked up the car from the dealership I have received a yellow notice that disables me from using the cruise control or speed limiter, now it is an exporadic notice, since just starting the car and turning it off is removed, it has only come out 3 times, my question is something that should worry me? could it get worse? I made the consultation to the workshop and they are going to find out what it can be, in which case I will be commenting what they tell me
  7. Does anyone know if there will be any update that has improved as shown apple CarPlay or Android auto in this swing model?
  8. hello, I tried to look for the software number as you indicate that it should be searched for but I only found the following to see if it works, will it have an update? Is there any way to install smartlink or only by the dealer?
  9. And well, answering myself and hoping that it works for you, if indeed the AUDI pedalboards work for the fabia, the only thing that doesn't work is the foot, but it doesn't matter. IMG_4406.HEIC IMG_4408.HEIC
  10. Thank you very much for your comment, Indeed, Chile is not an extreme climate in winter or at least not where I live, at least this winter the lowest was -2 ºC, on the other hand, almost all the extras that I have in my car stop working or consume when disconnected the ignition, only the GPS is always consuming, but as you indicate it consumes very little. The state of my battery according to the brand's workshop, was fine, this in mid-May that I have annual service they indicated this to me, my journeys are very short 30km per day in the city, so I don't give a good charge to the battery, sometimes when I take trips the star / stop works very well
  11. I will tell you about my experience and I hope it can help you in relation to the start and stop, I have a Fabia mk3 2021, bought in May of that year, the first year it worked well all winter, then this year in the winter it was colder, It has cost more to get the start/stop working, but I also made some modifications to my car, such as GPS, LED Lights, Sound Amplifier and Dash Cam, and now that we are coming out of winter (chile) the start/stop started to work correctly despite all the extras that I have, where affirming everything that the colleagues here indicate, the extreme weather is what most harms the system and you should also take into consideration your journeys, if they are more than city or highway Since it depends more on one or the other, your battery will spend better time charging
  12. Hoping they're alright I would like to make the query, to see if the pedalboards of a mechanical A3 sku 8V1064200A will serve the Fabia mk3.5 year 2021, if someone has tried it I would appreciate it, at first glance it seems so, I found some on sale and I want to take advantage
  13. Today I reserve my Fabia Style, when it arrives I show photos
  14. How beautiful is the new fabia, I am a current owner of the MK3 and I am very interested in going for the new one, I would like to know your experience of use.
  15. And when you mean that it is too big for Fabia, what implication can this attract? The person I saw and who told me about his experience had about 205/55 r16 told me that he had no problems and that when he turned the steering wheel to the maximum he had no friction with the fender or another element inside the wheel, he told me that the change comfort was very noticeable
  16. thanks for your contributions, I'm checking with the skoda dealer from here in Chile if the measure I want to fit is compatible. I was also looking at placing a 205/55 r16 measure because I know someone who occupied that measure and it went well, I leave a photo of how it looked but I am waiting for the dealer's responses.
  17. hello, hoping they are well, I have a query, I want to change the measurements of my tires from 215/45 r16 to 215/55 r16, in order to improve the ride comfort, since where I live the streets are very bad, My question in particular, this measure that from what I see is not approved by skoda for the fabia will affect something beyond varying the speedometer between 5 km / h more than what the tachometer indicates, or it could affect some mechanical component of the car to future?
  18. Hello, I introduce myself my name is Juan, I am from Chile and I am the owner of a Skoda Fabia MK3, I hope to learn in this forum of details that I want to do to the car and any other curiosity that Skoda may cover
