  1. Hi Delroy, thanks for the reply , iot's much appreciated ,
  2. Hi , can anyone tell me if the front and rear seat headrests on mk1 fabias are tthe same ? ...and so interchangable thanks
  3. thanks again Sepulchrave , it feels a bit better already , with some use and a few miles today, i was just bit concerned as it is a fair bit lower than the super sweet clutch on the mark 1 fabia i used to have , and i have got to take my mum to 3 hospital appointments in the next couple of weeks ,
  4. Hi Sepulchrave, thanks for your advice again, luckily it was the clutch....stiill an expensive job but much better than a gearbox problem the bite point on the old clutch had been at the very top of the pedal ( too high with no play ) from new , new clutch has a very low bite point, can this be adjusted?
  5. Hi , i've just had a new clutch , but the bite point seems very low on the pedal , is there any way of adjusting this ? thanks bryan
  6. yes thanks ,rac took the car back to my local dealer ... there are super busy ,looking at 2-3 week wait before they can even have a look at it, so i was just wondering if anybody else had had the same problem ?
  7. Hi i was on the motorway ,130miles into my journey , when a lorry served into my lane , i braked and left a gap , but when i came to accelerate , i suddenly found i had lost all drive , i got into the hard shoulder , engine running perfect but no drive . i had a similar sudden drive failure many years ago on a bmw motorcycle , car type single plate clutch , the splines in the clutch plate had failed ...a batch of faulty clutch plates and lack of grease on assembly - bmw the skoda a 2013 fabia 1.2 , it has only done 12,300miles .. i am hoping it's just the clutch plate , not the gearbox input shaft or gearbox internals the clutch bite has always be been at the very top of the pedal , if it was a cable operated clutch i would have adjusted it give it a little more play ? if anybody else had a similar problem or has any ideas ? your thoughts and wisdom will be much appreciated thanks bryan
  8. Hi , can anybody tell me ,if the front and rear headrests are the same ?.. are mk2 front headrests the same ? or does anybody have a skoda parts website address, thanks
  9. geniune factory locking wheel nuts , wheels removed and threads coated with copperslip was the first job , and always tightened correctly with a torque wrench, i've always had a two locking nut key with previous cars,... always nice to have a spare
  10. thanks for all the replies, the car has a full set of locking wheel bolts , but only one nut key, but the "contact area" on the key nut is not very deep,... and depending on the quality of the metal ?.. it does look like the best idea so i wanted to get a spare.
  11. Hi , skoda fabia 2013, has only one locking wheel nut "nut", is the any marks on the "nut"to identify what number it is ? thanks
  12. Hi , i've just got a 2013 fabia, i've always coated brake pipes with clear waxoyl on all my cars , but the new tester at the mot garage i've used for years has mark my last two mot's with an advisory, not a wayoyl fan ? do the metal brake pipes on 2013 -on skoda corrode? thanks
  13. thanks for all the replies , i'll have ago this weekend
  14. Hi , can you syphon petrol straight fro the petrol tank using a tube fed through the filler ?... (how long a piece of tube?) or is the an easier way ....via the fuel pipe to the engine..? thanks
