  1. I was driving to work today and was sitting in traffic. All of a sudden I heard a pop and my clutch pedal dropped to the floor. I got the car towed to work where I found the flexi pipe from where the bleed nipple is had popped out. Not I've refitted it and gave the clip a squeeze together for a tighter hold..it's bled out and working ok now. Has this happened anyone else?..is it the sign of a bigger issue?...I only fitted a new 4 piece clutch kit last year but the pedal has given trouble with sticking so I think it could be related. It's an 2006 tfsi vrs.
  2. It's after the disengage point of the clutch when it happens. I'm going to have it up on a ramp later and I'll have a look through again and see can I find anything. Fluid is perfect and nothing's leaking...as I said it's not actually causing any issues with the clutch...but.its more of an annoyance now so I'd like the get to the bottom of it
  3. Hi all. I'm having an issue with the clutch pedal in my car. About a year ago I replaced the clutch and dmf. Before changing the clutch, the problem was that when disengaging the clutch the pedal would come about halfway then stop for a second and then pop the rest of the way after my foot is fully off it..with the new clutch fitted it's still doing it... Everything works perfectly...no issues depressing the clutch or the engagement of the gears etc, but also it doesn't do it all the time...it seems to come and go... It's just starting to annoy me now as I now own the car. Any help would be great
  4. The car does alot of short journeys..one of the main reasons that they bought the petrol and not a diesel actually.
  5. That won't be an issue anymore as I do oil and filter every 7000km to 10000km.. and I always use proper oil...the tfsi they sold to me has 130k miles on it and has no issues as I looked after it and always serviced it on time and with the right stuff.
  6. I'm going to look at getting the chain and tensioner replaced in the next 2 weeks so. The service history I got with the car says it's on a variable service regime...I must keep an eye on the oil level and see what it's like. Thanks for the replies.
  7. Hi all. So after a long search and a trip to the UK I finally got my sister a 2010 mk2 vrs TSI dsg. So I'm going to do all the usual stuff...full service, dsg oil etc...is there anything else that would be recommended to be changed...like the pcv or diverter valves on the tfsi or are the ones on this engine ok? Also there's 75k miles on it...and I'm reading all the horror stories about the timing chain tensioner...can I fit the newest revision tensioner and a new cover plate on its own or would a whole chain replacement be better...car goes perfect...no rattles when cold etc. Thanks Gary
