Would I be mad to buy a FL CR VRS diesel (DSG) (such as the blue estate for sale on the forum right now, when I only drive 5 miles to work and back and 5 miles to gym and back every day? At weekends I usually go out to peak district and i dont drive like a granny either.

They usually come on yes. I have had issues with my octavia VRS mk1 before where only the larger fan would work with AC, but it hardly affected the AC so i never got it sorted. HTH

I had my MOT today, was keeping fingers crossed it would pass as I am off camping to the IOW next week, so I get a call from my mechanic, its failed (my front tyres were pretty close to the wear indicators anyway) then he said it passed as he swapped the spare with one of the fronts and had them redo it (did not know that was possible) Result. Only now I need 5 new tyres! Only thing is I have my heart set on a campervan -possibly to buy in winter when they should be cheaper, so unsure if to fit some cheapos or decent ones, as I would have to sell my estate vRS to fund it. Are there any good offers about, these 18" ones 225/50/18 are quite pricey.

Had similar recently, but also with the tps light too, not sure if you have that. It was the magnetic surround on the hub had come away, so the abs sensor could not take readings, started off intermittent then lights came on all the time when driving, needed new rear hub and sensor.

07 plate pd170vrs, should the passenger seat have one? The drivers side does.

ah, it that the little button on the right of the drivers seat, hidden down below, I thought it was an airbag switch or something

Can you park up with the sunroof open (tilt) and not have the alarm go off after some time?

i can easily tell when my pd170 vrs does it. as well as the above - apart from the fans and smell. it drives like poo, very jerky, engine note changes, sounds like it has a hole in the exhaust

just had new front pads and fluid today, lights have been intermittent for a few weeks

Anyone know what to check when I get 3 warning lights pop on when (usually) turning right at speed. The abs light, the TC light and the ! light, they pop on for 10 secs then go out. Had it scanned and it came up with voltage low or voltage signal low or implausable/intermittant something, left the printout behind, duh

if you search on ebay for 7H0919275 you can get these for £23 whereas vag wanted £90, and it came black, had it fitted today, matches my black 07 plate vrs perfectly.

I had this happen 3/4 times, though only once after a service where the fuel filter was replaced. I thought this was chalked up to ' recall injector replacement' issues?

Shark are about 15 mins away, when you say they are not setup correctly, are we talking physically or some sort of Vagcom/coding setup?

I have a 07 plate PD170 VRS estate. It has had injector recall -done before I bought it. It always seems to drive rubbish <2000 rpm, mainly shows up at 1500-2000 rpm the call feels hesitant, does not accelerate smoothly, although it revs fine. possibly feels down on power. Above 2000 rpm its like a different car, very smooth plenty of power. Also now and again, at idle say at traffic lights etc, sometimes the car seems to hiccup, the revs seem fine but the car feels like its been given a tap from behind or something- very odd. has recently had a oil change/ oil filter/air filter/pollen filter/fuel filter but was doing before this

how much of a job is reseating the injectors, his issue sounds similar to mine, it has had the recall, the symtoms I have had were poor cold starting, - only occured after a full service I had engine cutting out - happened a few times when slowing down to almost standstill the main issue I see is the revving of engine between 1500/2000 rpm is not smooth.
