Thanks for replying P-J I am 79 and not too good with modern tech O2 mobile is very poor with us My contract with O2 only gives me 2Gb data so I think that would not last long when using Waze in the car in the car I have I phone with google maps which are excellent and could use Apple play in the car if I had more data Skoda dealer is investigating the out of date maps issue for my car and will report back asap My previous VW cars had no difficulty with up to date maps but then VW could not offer me a car same size as Karoq with all of the high spec. If I remember I will report back on Skoda results Thanks for interest

Change of primary name
You are giving me a target to best I only travel about 3000 miles per year and trips are only around country roads and to essential shops so I don't expect good mpg Nice car I like the safety features except when I drive in the centre of country roads It beeps at me and tells me to drive in the centre of your lane Impossible on narrow country roads when you have to avoid tractors and sheep coming out of hidden lanes All part of living in the country I'll find out how to switch it off It can be dangerous when you take your eyes off the road to read the instructions Thanks P

Scoda/What car say for the 1.5 engine 44.2 mpg and Honest John says 44.7 I got 53.9 mpg out of the 1.5 engine in my Golf What I was proposing to do as I just have the car a few weeks ago and I am still finding my way around the manual is when this is complete I will reset the overall mpg to zero and test the car mpg for1000 miles and then post the results I will be disappointed if I cannot beat the mpg stated by Honest John at 44.7 Thanks for replying Pragmatix

Change of primary name
My sales person entered my name on new Karoq I wanted to change this to more useable first name I read there was a problem in changing .What I did was register my details with Scoda Connect using computer Click on User profile and Edit profile to my more common name This was changed on the computer but not when I checked in the car I then on the car I selected change user. Entered email and password and selected edit name Changed my Primary name to Herbie and it was changed in the ar On Skoda Connect I was surprised to learn that details of the car were shown on the computer complete with last driving data and location of car I am very pleased with the car with the 1.5 petrol 150 engine. My last was VW Golf (same engine but manual) tested mpg over 1200 miles and recorded 53.9 The Scoda is automatic which means a higher 7th gear I am expecting high MPG close to the Golf
