  1. This has become an ongoing saga because the replacement item had (It's been returned) a different screw hole alignment. Looking at the comments above maybe I should by a replacement and replace the guts.
  2. Thanks, kokosal. Thats very helpful.
  3. Thank you, Morph. Much appreciated.
  4. Many thanks, Alisdair. That if very helpful. Nigel
  5. Thanks, Alasdair. Noted. Have ordered a replacement motor. Nigel
  6. Many thanks, Alasdair for your input. I will check that. Preumably the tail-gate cover just unclips. Nigel
  7. Question: Is this a known issue please and what is the likely cause? I.e. Is it probably the motor which needs replacing? Thanks in advance for any help.
  8. Thanks, Alasdair. The amperage when the car is shut down and the interior lights are selected 'off' is 0.6A. Checking both fuse boxes the only item causing a drop was 12 the Central Locking System in the dash console fuse box, but that would still leave a drain of 0.3A. Initial check in the engine fuse box showed 0.2A on F24 the Control Unit for the CAN databus and 0.1A on F16 the Windscreen Wiper and Signal Control Arm. However, when returning to check those two there was no reading on either.. However, in principle, those three items would make up the 0.6A overall drain. All very curious
  9. There is still a drain of 0.8A when shut down. Radio fuse is out. Any other obvious culprits please?
  10. Thanks again for your comments. So far it appear that the radio console was the culprit.
  11. Thank you, Alisdair. Battery and alternator have been checked and are fine. Now have a period when I don't need to use the car so can leave the battery connections (with the radio fuze removed) and see if there is a drain on the battery.
  12. Thank you. Have removed the fuze so we'll see.
  13. Thank you, gav-is-con. No, but it is blinking. Is that significant?
  14. This is an evolved fault which appears to be worsening. The battery is fine. Have left that disconnected overnight and it has held its charge. This means something is draining it when everything in the car is off. Is this a known issue or, is there a likely part which could be at fault please? Thanks in advance for any help.
