  1. I saw now. Sorry for the title. I was first questioning about the fuel pressure but ended talking about all the subject.
  2. Hello All, Every other times I came here I was helped. So if this time you can not help me with this subject no problem. Thank you anyway. The question: my Fabia 1.4 MPI 8 valve (I know it is stone age but he do not want to break) in the last year ruined 2 HELLA pre catalytic wideband oxygen sensors. I measured the fuel pressure and the result is 3,2 bar before injectors (ok). The engine do not burn oil and I do not need to top between changes. The refrigeration system do not loose coolant. The oxygen sensors came from that well know European seller (Au...oc). Can I think in counterfeit parts? HELLA it is not a good brand? The sensors in warehouse deteriorated with age even not being used? Bad gas? Or the car has a problem?
  3. Hello All. nta16, when i cleared the code with the OBDII tool it showed up again. But when i disconnected the battery for a couple of hours, has you said, the code disapeared and i have been driving the car since tuesday without P0101 or other codes showing up. Thank you for your advice. Let see what is going to happen in the future. Another thing is that after the cleaning of throttle body the car has best gas consumption and i feel it more "loose" (i do not want to say more power). Since the hard reset with the battery disconnection the ECU onboard computer has 6.9 L/100 Km in the regist. I know that this onboard computer value means 7.2 L/100 Km of real consumption. For an old car that is the heavy combi version and with 1.4 L and 8 valve engine, with catalytic converter it is very good (at least i think so).
  4. Ok nta16. I disconnected the battery instead of clearing the code with the obdii tool. I have been thinking and read another topic and thought: since the throttle reads now 3.3% in idle and before the cleaning it was 5.5%, maybe the error is tripped for an ECU calculated value that is not the expected? P0101 is related with a low performance in air flow (not the MAF Sensor has i presumed).
  5. Thank you nta16. I already cleared the code once but it show up again. I will see harness and plugs issues. Non metered air I will check. But what I do not understand is why a car without MAF sets a MAF code. I think Skoda has a specific issue for this code in this car. Maybe I am wrong.
  6. Hello All. I have cleaned throttle body and in the process I confess that manually opened the butterfly. The results were: - throttle position in idle passed from 5,5% to 3,3% (due to the cleaning or the damaged calibration?). - P0101 error code (but this car has a MAP sensor not MAF). - gas consumption improved with no performance changes 😃😃😃😃😃 Have you any ideas about the P0101? Thank you for your help
  7. Hello all. The problem it is solved. I reclaim the thermostat and I am waiting for the answer. Meanwhile i bought another thermostat rated to 88 C. The car runs now in open road at 90 C. I went to the city with traffic lights and to highway to test and in the end the average mileage by ECU was 6.7 l/100 that mean 7.0 real. I really see an improvement. The AQW engine has 2 lambda probes, catalytic converter and obeys to EURO 4. 82 C not the right temperature. Thank you all for your time and attention. Have a nice new year.
  8. I came now from the shop. The person who talked to me is going to ask other shop of same group to sent them tomorrow 2 parts in stock of other brand. Tomorrow we will compare with this one. For note, he had in stock another equal item and the box it is identified as Tropan. The housing, the thermostat and the temp sensor do not have any names, marks or codes. He gave me the possibility to reclaim.
  9. Hello and thank you for the answers. This subject kept in mind and I dismounted the thermostat. It is labeled with "80°". I think it means 80C since the temperature not pass 82C and it is located near the outlet of engine. I used the old sensor and the sensor that came with the thermostat and the readings are the same. I dismounted the housing and I am going talk to the shop person. I also talked to other shop owners that said that the right thermostat for this car should be rated to 87C or 88C.
  10. Hello all. Someone knows what is the normal engine temperature of the 1.4 MPI 8V AQW? I have a obd device and the max reading in open road is 82C. All cars that I know here work at 90C. The thermostat housing is new and with the old one the temperature was also 82C. Thank you.
