  1. Hi all, Having a few problems with my Octavia VRS 2009 LE (Petrol), so hoping someone can shed some light on what I should take as next steps... Background: - Had intermittent problems with EPC warning light for a few months, and car was becoming difficult to start when warm. It would start, then as the revs dropped to what should've been the "idle" level, they wouldn't hold and the engine would die. Therefore I had to give a lot of throttle in order to force the revs to stay high enough for it to catch the idle point. Car would often go into limp mode when EPC light was on. The error codes we were getting were P0121 and P0221 (Throttle position sensor). - Changed throttle body (and cleared codes): no more EPC light for approx. 3 weeks, but still had to give the car throttle in order to get it to hold idle revs - Changed accelerator pedal (and cleared codes): this solved all problems for about a month, and then the same issues returned recently. Car went into full limp mode on the dual carriageway, and seemed to be only running on one cylinder. EPC light would clear once the engine was restarted, but would return (and go back into limp mode) after a few miles driving. A lot of juddering coming from the engine also. I had the codes read by the AA, and it returned the below. - P0087: Fuel Pressure, rail - value implausible - P0507: Idle Control - speed too high - P0121, P0221 (but these may have been from the original issue mentioned above) - P1545: Throttle Valve (TV) control unit - faulty operation - P0101: Air-mass sensor - signal improbable - P1558: Throttle Valve control motor - Circuit Defective - P0172: Fuel system - Bank 1 - Mixture too rich These were all cleared, and now the car seems to be running fine again, and my local indy garage says there's not a lot they can do until the fault happens again and they can trace the root cause. Has anyone got any idea of what could be causing the above issues? Spent a lot on a new throttle body and that hasn't solved the issue, so at a bit of a wits end trying to solve the problem! Cheers in advance
