  1. The car is 8 months old. 26922 miles on the clock. It has its 2nd oil service due in 1400 miles time. Coming back to Bristol from London on Saturday night along the M4 doing a steady 60 the warning came on saying Gearbox Overheating. I pulled over quickly on the hard shoulder and there was a smell of smoke/ maybe clutch smell but it was quite a strong smell. I have had no gearbox issues or engine issues since Saturday night. No warning lights. Everything sounds fine and the car runs fine. I can’t see where any oil is coming out. The engine is all still clean. I do not appear to have lost any oil. The engine temperature was a steady 89 degrees and I had no other indication that the gearbox was overheating. How will I know if this is not going to happen again? Is this another Skoda fault ? SOFTWARE UPDATES I appear to receive downloaded software updates successfully but the is a Manual download it’s trying to send me but it’s failed twice now. First time it said error - refer to garage. The second time it said No internet connection for Manual. Please connect to the internet. FRONT ASSIST The car observed something ahead of danger today but there wasn’t. The Front Assist came on and caused the car to brake. I do not like this feature. Can it be terminally switched off? CLIMA On two occasions the Clima feature does not work. It just hangs until you turn the car off and start again
  2. That problem you had has been resolved. My colleague who is a taxi driver like me (the E-Tec hybrid) his alternator failed, his gearbox lever and his computer screen all failed and had to be renewed. My car, I got an overheating gearbox. 8 months old and 26,000 miles. I was only driving at 60mph on my own along the M4. It just started overheating and smoking
