I have had some work done on my beautiful loyal workhorse that had meant it was purring like a cat. I have kept it well maintained, suspension, brakes, good tyres, all relatively new.
Anyway, I do a 50 mile round trip, half of which is on a dual carriageway where you can sit at 70 with the CC on. Today, the car started to jolt and the cruise control swtiched itself off (that has happened before and quite often they say that you need to give the CC switch a good clean which works by the way). However, it coughed more than usual to the extent where three lights came on the dash, the oil, the orange coil light and the "skidding" sign.
I pulled over, switched the car off, switched it back on again and it has been fine since. Any thoughts?
I have to confess, I have thought about going to a new Fabia, it's like the Octavia can read my mind and is protesting! I wanted to keep it another year but will it be too costly?
