Hello! I own a Skoda Fabia 2017 1.4 tdi about 213.000 km. I have the car from 179.000 km and used it for 2 and a half years every day to drive to work. About 15 km each day, but usually at the end of the week I went long road to clean the dpf.
About 2 months ago while I was coming back from a mountain trip, on the highway, the screw of the bridle that holds 1st two injectors broke and popped out about 5 cm from the engine. I trailed the car to a service, replaced the screw and the bridle, and mounted back the injectors. The car worked for another week, but the engine was not as smooth as it used to be, and when I forced the car to 3000 rpm the turbo broke too. I went with the car to a turbo service, and they replaced broken components, the car worked for a few kilometers ok and then the turbo broke again (they said it had high pressure on the tester). They said they cleaned and checked admission and EGR (DPF was checked only on the tester, not physique, and the values were fine)
Since it was under warranty, they fixed it for the 2nd time turbo, and they called me to come because they drove the car and everything worked fine. I took the car and the engine had again lesser power and low pressure on the turbo this time. On the tester it had errors on the EGR valve, they canceled the valve and the car was still without power. The only warning light I got both times I left with the car from turbo service was the spiral, clipping.
Now I talked with 2 general mechanics and suggested that it could be a faulty DPF but I got no warning light for DPF only the spiral clipping.
Can a DPF still be faulty but no warning light on board? Can a blocked DPF be the fault for my first problem with injectors popping out of the engine?
Thank you in advance, and I apologize for my English not so good.
A desperate Skoda Fabia owner,
