Thank you I guess it’s just the norm for these cars then I can relax now and enjoy it rather than pick faults

Clunk noise from 1st to 2nd to 3rd
Hi I’ve put a few posts on here since owning my citigo 2018 colour edition I’ve noticed recently with windows down there’s a Metal clunk noise when releasing clutch from 1st to 3rd gear if I let clutch out super slow it’s not there but if I let clutch out normal to me it’s there I can’t hear this noise with driving windows up only when windows down is this normal for citigo thanks Pete

Less noisy cabin noise when clutch is pressed
All I know is on mine there is a little bit of a rattle but goes once engine warm but there is definitely some sort of noise even when warm because when I press clutch it’s deadly silent in cabin and when I release clutch there’s a sort of buzzing noise weather this is normal I don’t know but I’m not worrying anymore because it will drive me in to an early grave

Disappointed in the citigo
Just started mine up it’s been stood since 10 this morning I’m getting a little bit of gearbox chatter but absolutely nothing like the vids on you tube they sound like a 1970s gangster shoot out so I’m pretty sure mine is ok and within about 3 mins it’s gone

Disappointed in the citigo
Going of the topic of gearboxes I’ve just noticed there is condensation in the drivers side headlamp it’s at the bottom near the daytime LED running lights what’s the best way to clear it or is it a new unit needed

Front door panel gaps different widths on both sides
Think I’m going to just put up with the noise as it’s no where near as bad as some of the cars I’ve heard on you tube mines not that bad really think I got spooked when realising the citigo has gearbox problems. And having seen the statements that vw have written saying there’s no fix and it will not do the car any damage thanks for all your advice Pete 👍

Phoned Skoda aswell they said couldn’t tell me without hearing the car but at a guess it sounds like clutch release bearing causing the rattle

Front door panel gaps different widths on both sides
Typical I drove 4 miles to dealers today they came out to look and it wasn’t rattling I’m assuming it’s because gearbox or clutch was warmed up so they told me to bring it in for a cold start so they can gear it in morning when cold. Also I’ve noticed it’s crunches now and then when going in to reverse is this normal

Disappointed in the citigo
I just want a perfect running car it’s not asking a lot considering the mileage and 1 previous owner because I love the car and I wouldn’t class it as budget other than the issues it drives great vey very comfy motor I know there’s no power but it’s a city car and that’s what makes it fun to drive

Disappointed in the citigo
Well I’m not joking my Audi had 27k on it 2013 plate and the interior noise was like something from 1970 and I’m not joking the citigo is 100 times quieter hence why I’m over the moon with it apart from so said issues

Ok Steve I don’t have pc so I don’t know how I’ll put the vid on but as regards the gearbox code I’ll have a look and post it on here tommorow once again thank you it’s forums like this that stop the stealerships from milking honest peoples money

Disappointed in the citigo
When you say budget car the Audi I had had terrible cabin noise from low revs ad brake disc noise on low revs and that was a 23k car new with my citigo I can’t hear any cabin noise and perhaps a little disc rub on slowing down so I’m very impressed with the citigo apart from the reasons as mentioned

Less noisy cabin noise when clutch is pressed
How do I put vid on here to show you all

Disappointed in the citigo
Hi everyone I’m a bit disappointed in the purchase of my first citigo I traded it in for a 2013 Audi a1 hoping that getting a 18 plate city car with low miles would last me a good few years with having the car 2 weeks now I’ve had nothing but headache I’ve put 2 posts on here about it with the door gaps which is no big concern just a minor niggle and also the rattle on idle which goes when clutch is pressed and looking back through older posts there seems to be no fix. Can someone please tell me I’m not daft buying the Skoda because I do love it in the short time I’ve owned it a lot more than the Audi but I can’t believe the problems with the gearbox / clutch / bearing I even like the car that much I don’t mind the fix if dealer won’t pay out but surely someone must know what it is because all I’m getting is could be release bearing could be heat shield or could be input bearing sorry for the rant but I’m a bit fed up I feel like I’ve bought a lemon. But to look at the car it’s mint condition

Thanks for your help I’ll tell the dealer about it when I take it back in for the rattle on clutch which tends to go when cars been run for 10 mins
-
Front door panel gaps different widths on both sides
Yes it does move a little bit

Front door panel gaps different widths on both sides
The bolts on the hinges haven’t been touched and it’s still go the white grease on them from factory so I pretty sure it’s not been n a smash or anything
