Hello folks, First time buyer, and I was hoping to tap into some of the knowledge on this forum. I'm looking at buying a 2013 Skoda Fabia Estate TSI, around 55k miles and in good condition for £7k. Was wondering whether anyone has owned a mk2 Fabia estate (or combi) and whether or not they would recommend it? I'm not looking for anything particularly speedy, I'm more concerned with reliability and economy. I'm also wondering how spacious the boot length (with the seats down) is, I'm a keen mountain biker and have a particularly long mountain bike with a wheelbase of 1260mm. My friend has a mk7 golf (a similar size to the fabia estate) and It's barely fits in the back with the front wheel off, so if anyone can comment on this that would be really helpful. The car isn't the best looking in the world, and i know it's a sellers market right now but £7k is a fair sum considering the new mk4 Fabia is now on the road. Any thoughts on this would be very welcome. Thanks!
