  1. Yeah when I say overtake I mean on dual carriageways/motorways when you’re in your own lane, but the car slows down because someone is in lane one. Generally, if it’s behaving like that it’s for the whole journey or a whole portion of a journey, so not a circumstantial sign reading thing… more a flaw in logic, which seems similar to registering speed limits in KMPH. Interesting that the speed limit error only affects the ACC and not the red speed limit ‘bug’ displayed on the graphical speedometer. That red bug is always in the right place making it even more frustrating when the ACC drops down to the incorrect KMPH setting.
  2. Just chipping in in March 2023. Same issue in my 2021 Octavia. Currently reading this thread while I wait for the infotainment update to complete so I guess VW group are still working on this. Side note, I’ve noticed on random journeys the ACC will not overtake on motorways. It acts as if you’re undertaking… almost like the logic has switched to European (I’m UK). Sounds like the same root cause to me. It’s like somewhere in its brain the vehicle has temporarily decided it’s in Europe.
  3. Thank you @Jim2015, that was exactly the answer I was after! For others interested, @VAGProf has some very handy info re the 12v and high voltage systems from this thread:
  4. Yep same for me with my old 2018 diesel Octavia... and trying to jump it wasn't easy only because with no power getting the bonnet open is very tricky. I assume this only applies to UK models which have the bonnet catch inside the nearside door. Being a passenger door in the UK, there is no physical key lock to open it - just the electric central lock. Ending up bending the catch lever and forcing it, which damaged the footwell trim 🙄 That was a mistake I only made once! Anyway I was wondering what the power arrangement is in the PHEV. Does the high voltage battery charge the 12v battery and therefore the boot socket? Or is the 12v system separate?
  5. Forgive my ignorance. I have a 2021 iV PHEV Octavia and wasn't sure what battery powers the 12v socket in the boot? Want to know what the chances are of accidentally flattening the petrol engine starter battery if I leave something plugging in overnight. Second question, does anyone know a way of switching the socket so it's not powered when the vehicle isn't running? Thank you! B
