Mine was also scheduled for that week (42). They said to me that the car is assembled but still don’t have the final confirmation but we are in week 44 now. Have you got a VIN?

Finally - after 18 months from the initial order - I got a VIN number a week ago, the supposed production week was 2 weeks ago. I tried to add the VIN to Skoda Connect but the system doesn’t accept it. I also tried to search for an owners manual by VIN, but with also no results. Many of you guys said before that you could add the VIN immediately after you received it from the dealer, but the exact car itself appeared only a few days later. My dealer said that the car is assembled, they are only waiting for a “completion report status” - but we are waiting for it a week now. Even though, as far as I know there are no missing parts. I’m so sick of this waiting now, specially with the last couple of weeks, since the end is finally on the table, but seems still so unreachable. I can’t see why is so hard to make the wait period transparent, and more pleasant for the customers…

A question for those who already have their car: After a year and half waiting (I ordered the car April 2021) I finally got a factory confirmed production for week 42 (this week), but the week almost went through without any new info. When the dealer told me the „good news” of confirmation 3 weeks ago, he also said that we should see the VIN number by the beginning of the actual production and an engine number after the car was completed. The workdays are over, but still didn't get any news. Is it normal that I still don’t have any info at the end of the build week? Of course, I’m a way too impatient now, near the finish line, and after 18 months of this rollercoaster ride. I'm just hoping for a completed production without any missing parts...

I just got bad news from my dealer (in Hungary). Today they were officially informed about the fire by the importer. According to him, at least around 16000 car will be involved in the additional delays. All of their 2021Q1/Q2 orders – witch were supposed to be manufactured within the next few weeks, including mine – were pushed back to Q4 2022! So with more than half a year… He said that, from now with all these 1+ year old orders in the backlist, the importer will start to negotiate specific built dates one by one with Skoda, so the situation can change a bit in the next few days/weeks…

Ordered directly from Skoda, and surprisingly delivered on time: my "new Octavia" in moonlight white 😁 At least something to hold on to...

Guys, is there anyone here, who recently got the car with an order from last spring? This topic on the forum feels a little depressed these days... constant delays, more bad news. Could it be worse? What else can happen? 🤔 I ordered mine in April 2021, with a first approx delivery for October, and since then, and I have a build date for March 2022 – so IF they can make it on this schedule then, the total wait would be around 1 year. Reading all these news, I don't think that I could tolerate a message like "your build week just moved from March to October"

Hello guys, mine was an april 2021 order (moonlight white, e-tec 1.5 petrol, dsg with dynamic pack incl. camera) at a Hungarian dealership. I have a week 9 build date (hoping that it’s finally not going to change). I just wondered while reading the posts here, that how long does it take to actually deliver the car after it’s production? Couple of other weeks or just a few more days?
