The local garage just replaced it with a complete new assembly from Skoda, they were not up for fitting non genuine parts, I'm ok with that. Have read some people having issues with the pattern versions of this pipe.

It is sold as a single pipe assembly, but I think it is made up of small pipe sections

Just a follow up to say all of the pipes highlighted below were replaced and the car runs fine. There was some weird stuff with the fuel gauge not reading properly, but a battery disconnect for 30 mins solved that. I guess -20'c was too much for the little plastic retainer (circled) and that caused the pipe to separate.

Thanks @Austin 7 I also suspect that some side effect of the cold caused this failure. I have found a photo of another engine showing the part, it looks like a part of our hose is actually missing. Hopefully a replacement hose set will fit this and it is not a sign of a faulty injector or something else..

No, nothing recently, but I am traveling in Europe and it has been very cold at night (-12”c)

Hoping someone can help explain what has happened to our Yeti.. One of the diesel pipes under the bonnet has come apart and dumped 10% of the tank in the process. Is this a known failure point on these engines, or has something else likely caused the pipe to separate? Any help much appreciated !
