2011 Skoda superb estate which had typical auto boot issues. Been having intermittent stopages failures to open for a few years with the triple beep.
I decided to replace with non stock ebay struts. All good in changing over. Seem to be well made Chinese replicas.
Boot shuts and locks fine. Pushing open the boot unlatches but it now makes no effort to lift.
If you lift the tail a fraction off closed and push any button again on remote or in car it opens fine. And will lift up and down happily hold the door with extra presses, as long as it does not get back to the point when it relatches. Where it stops
Looking on OBDeleven at the motors live data, I can see switch detection, but they don't get amps supplied to either motor until the tail is raised a tiny fraction above locked Amos are supplied again and door lifts.
Wondered if anyone knows Is there a switch on the latch that might provide a unlatched signal for the motors to start lifting that may have an issue? As no power is supplied don't believe it is bad motors.
Have tried reset via the full height button hold method. New struts are reporting no code errors on obdeleven. Old ones did when they stopped.
Can't see anything in old threads. So any handy thoughts or logic appreciated.
