  1. Replaced abs sensors and wires, cleaned the hub ring and everything is fine, no more warning lights! Wiper problem was the wiper park wire not making contact with the vehicle control unit. All good now thanks!
  2. Thanks, I'll double-check the wires there, get the basics right first. Thanks for the advice!
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. The body control unit, do you mean the one above the accelerator pedal? There was a lot of condensation under the dash when these problems started. But I have taking the control unit out and swapped it around with my other Fabia. Both control units gave the same result. I've put a new battery in, the largest that would fit. Swapped alternators around, cleaned grounds, replaced negative terminal and replaced part of the dmf wire. The multimeter shows 12.6 v at battery with ignition off and 14.3 v running. Would a global issue (voltage, wiring) create so many symptoms or could a simple sensor issue (abs, steering angle) overwhelm the system? Thanks for the input!
  4. Okay thanks. So any ideas if all these problems could be caused by faulty sensors or if a faulty data bus gives false readings? Thanks
  5. Hi, new here. My 2010 Fabia 1.4 TDI has shown various electrical problems currently showing Engine, Power steering and ABS lights. Plus the wipers turn on as soon as the ignition is on, stopping after about a minute with them not responding to the stalk. And also the seatbelt warning boings straightaway. So I'm sourcing a CAN fault? OBDeleven seems to connect to most modules but I noticed that under Info, it says Connection Type: K-line. Surely this should be CAN? Had finally brought her to the Skoda dealer but they said they couldn't connect At All! Does that make sense, would their diagnostic use CAN only? Trying to figure out if this is a global problem causing many symptoms or smaller problems (steering angle sensor, abs sensor) causing a bigger upset. Any idea where to start? Thanks
