Thank you @roottoot for replying. I have spoken to the dealer and they will send me the service history on monday. I have been reading the forums and you have contributed so much to some of the threads i encountered. I have only paid a small deposit by credit card so far so if i dont like anything i wont go ahead with the order. Reading the forums has been an eye opener. One poster (The Client) said he had his tensioner and timing chain replaced the day after he bought his. The dealer said they will do 12 months MOT and service (not sure what level of service) before sale. The car in question is the one from the following dealer. Hi, I am thinking of buying Skoda Superb Elegance 2011 1.8 TSI 4x4 73k miles. I have been reading up a little about it on this site and I am concerned about the high oil consumption issue. It comes with 6 month warranty I am not sure if the issue will arise in 6 months OR if it would even be covered by the waranty. I like everything else about the car but this has got me worried. Should i go ahead and buy it or look at another make/model? Any advice would be appreciated.
