  1. I'm just a big man child really so sound generator makes me smile consistently
  2. If it's the same thing I've been playing with this week, sport is great . It firms everything up sharpens the throttle response and gives a bit more feeling in the steering, extra noise too!
  3. Update for those interested. I absolutely love this car , huge upgrade on my Audi A3 2.0 diesel. Loads of fun and really chuffed with it and it looks great! Only gripe is that I think the speakers are a bit naff anyone got any reccomendations on upgrades?
  4. Not sure if I should be impressed with the quick homework here or concerned you don't have anything better to do on a Friday morning 😂 Useful update though!
  5. It's the 245 but for whatever reason the original owner put the 18s on , I've heard the ride is better on the 18s but we'll see. Not going to do too much to it until it's warranty is up but I'm definitely going to get a diffuser, side skirts and splitter on it at some point
  6. It's going to be fully cleaned along with the paint protection I got them to throw in. Had a good look round didn't notice anything resembling damage to the doors just a weird angle in guessing. Bird **** 😂 ... Tyres I can't remember not picked her up yet!

  8. Just signed off on my new to me 2019 Octavia VRS with 20k miles on the clock. After many months on Autotrader looking at A4's , A5's, Focus ST Estates, Leon estates and Golfs I'm delighted with my choice and can't wait to drive it more. Any useful new owner advice would be appreciated Thanks
  9. For my budget I may be looking at a higher mileage Golf R. Brother in law's Golf R was very nice though. It would have to be estate as the regular golf R boot is small IMO and as it's 4WD would certainly be more thirsty
  10. Really useful thanks! If services on the above are in order what's the general reliability like of the vRS? Would also be useful to know your opinion on what yours was like to drive
  11. Cheers Root, if I can only get a rough Audi for that budget I may go for a fresher vRS. Auto trader has a few Audi's from 2015 with sub 40k miles, Octavia's a bit newer. Will remember to check haldex and VAQ services though.
  12. As the title says I'm after a fast family car and have narrowed it down to the Octavia VRS petrol or the A4/A5 2.0 petrol quattro. I don't do the mileage for a diesel. Looking for thoughts on the better buy and the better drive. I have a budget of up to £17k and looking at buying below 40k miles. Any advice including what to look out for would be much appreciated. Thanks
