Rear view mirror swap.
Hi All. My auto dimming rear view mirror has been damaged and new one is too expensive. Is it possible to replace the auto dimming rear view mirror with a manual one? Thanks, Steve

No ignition lights on dashboard display.
Thanks for replies, all. Ords, I've tried the disconnection for 24 hours but no luck. Gammyleg, I can't get any ignition to begin with, no lights on the dash at all. Hopefully I'll have a wiring diagram tonight and take it from there. Steve

No ignition lights on dashboard display.
Hi all. Octavia 2013 2.0 TDi Auto The car was stood for almost two years before I got it and was full of damp/condensation, dripping in some places. I've dried an cleaned it up and it's been running perfectly for a few months with the exception of the radio turning on/off randomly. As the only things I hadn't checked were the footwell multi-plugs behind the trim, last weekend I took out and put back all the fuses in the passenger compartment and disconnected/re-connected the multi-plugs in the footwell. All were clean and not showing signs of green build-up or corrosion. Now I have no lights on the dash at all when I put the key in and turn it - except for the normal warning pictures if a door/bonnet/boot is open. The remote lock/open off the fob still works, as does the radio and interior lights. I've re-checked to see if I'd bent any pins in the connectors and re-tested each fuse with a small bulb across a separate battery - all ok. I've also checked all fuses in the engine compartment. I tried an ODBC reader but after entering the VIN manually as it wouldn't pick it up from the ECU it just told me it couldn't see anything to talk to. When I was doing the work the battery was still connected. My guess is I've wrecked the ECU but does anyone have any other ideas I can try before getting it towed for a full check at Skoda? Many thanks, Steve

Infotainment misbehaving.
Hi all. I am a new member , having just bought a 2013 1.9tdi Elegance. I knew there were some problems with the car but am happy to sort them out myself, if possible. The car had been standing for about 18 months and there was a lot of damp inside. The driver's window switch wasn't working but after stripping and cleaning the circuit board all is now fine. One issue I am stuck with, however, is the infotainment. It is a Columbus model but has only three modes, as per the pictures below. 1. Frozen on the Skoda logo - most frequent. 2. Blank 3. Radio stations but no buttons work NAV/Phone/Setup et al. 4. Very rarely it will wake up properly and I am able to set a radio station or use the Nav before it turns itself off. On one occasion I managed to go through the Factory Reset but it hasn't sorted the problem. I am trying to figure out if it's the display or the unit in the glove box that has the problem. I have taken the head unit out for a look but there was no sign of damp/build-up around the connections. I'm not sure yet how to remove the unit in the glove box to check the connections there. The car battery never went dead but did need a boost to get it going and since been fine. Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Steve

New member - hello.
Hi, just bought a 2013 1.9Tdi Elegance It's been laid up for almost two and half years and in need of a bit of tlc, most of which I can do myself but there may be a question or two about the radio only working intermittently... Nice to meet you all, Steve
