Thank you so much for the information. At least you have now pointed me in the right direction. I see it's not as easy as the rest of the family vehicles. I suppose they want to still make money by charging almost $900aud for updates. At that price I am happy using android/auto and waze as its free and up to date. But I will ask around the aussie forums to see what I can find. Once again thank you so much for your help and information and to prevent me from going around in circles with something that would never work LOL

Hi Tell, so I believe the maps are loaded in the unit itself as there is no map SD card. Yeah sorry I posted on both threads as I have spent most of my day trying to get my head around this and which version my MMI may be. So with this I think mine would be a Mib2 high and belongs in the columbus thread. Sorry and thank you for the help in clearing this up for me. But I am definitely searching for a way to trick the system and get around it.

Thanks for the response Tell. I did load all files as I must have glanced over this part, but unortunately my MMI shows the following message "no valid update data found on the medium". So my investigation continues. At least the MMI recognises the Columbus files because it would not recognise the Amundsen ones. I was tring to figure out which MMI mine was. I have a 2019 audi S3 and Audi Australia are useless in releasing updates.

Can I ask which files we put on a SD card to install onto the vehicle? Do we grab all the folders from Mib1/2 or just a select few depending on which maps we want? Are there any instrutions anywhere please. Thank you

Is it correct to relabel the relevant folder, eg 22 (AU&NZ) to 00 and can then delete the other not needed folders except the EEC folder? So all that would be on the SD card is \maps\00 and \maps\EEC The reason why I ask is that my audi will not detect any files to update, so tried with the whole ROW folder, then have relabelled to 00. Im not sure if there is another method for other VAG vehicles but this is the first attempt for me and havn't really found too much info out there. Thank you

Hi guys, I have just found this page from a facebook group for audi's and nav updates. I am searching some threads to see if anyone has successfully updated these files to the Audi S3. The MMI is Mib2. If anyone knows of a thread in this forum that would be great. Thank you
