  1. Hello Does your kodiaq have lane assist or TSR. Is their a camera in the heated screen it looks like their is ? I would not buy a car without a heated screen after owning one. Its funny how you think things are gimmicks then become essential ! old age is presume
  2. I know it sounds mad but i had a similar issue with an Octavia i spent hours under the car looking for a heat shield loose or the like. The noise would only happen when throttle was eased off when the car was under slight engine braking all at low speed. i could feel the noise in the cabin it turned out that the flow and return diesel pipes where vibration on the bulk head.
  3. I guess i just have to wait so. Looking at the owners manual i pretty sure it has the a5 camera like my superb. I asked in the dealer about the tow bar they where not sure if i was specing the car i would have asked them to find out but as it was being built that week i had no choice after going home and looking at the option codes its the electric folding one. I wont be doing muching towing but will use it for a bike rack. The only options it does not have that the superb has is dcc, canton and eletric seats. I was a bit disappointed with the canton in the superb anyway. I hope i made a good choice and wont regret dumping the superb which was a lovley motor way cruiser. Anyway i just have to wait.
  4. Hello Folks I have just ordered a new kodiaq for delivery in 2018 Jan. The car i ordered was a canceled order from some one else so i could not pick some bits i would have. I also got some that i would not have ordered. I have a question regarding the heated windscreen. Does the heated screen have the A5 camera built in on from the factory. On the superb i speced the TSR camera so could enable lane assist with VCDS thanks to the briskoda forums! In the equipment list is say heated screen with light assist like i have in superb i presume this is the auto high beam which work of the camera if not mistaken. The options on the car i am receiving are below. The kodiaq i am getting is the 190bhp 4x4 dsg style spec in Ireland.
  5. Thanks had a listen to the above tracks and i guess i am just fussy as they sound fine!!
  6. Hello People i have enabled lane assist on my superb i followed the guides in the fourm. The lane assist works but i am missing one of the options on the Columbus screen. Its the Adaptive lane guidance tick box. Does anyone know where or how i can enable this. I have VCDS. Tks
  7. Hello Folks is any one else having issues with their canton subwoofer? The subwoofer was repaired as it stopped working it had an open circuit fault when car was scanned. I got the car back and they said their was a broken cable on the subwoofer. The speaker did work after the repair but when listening to music i could hear some distortion in the bass. I but a scope into the speaker and noticed the cone was torn hence the distortion. They ordered a new speaker which took 2 weeks to arrive but then i was in a crash (my poor car) and it took a heavy hit from the rear and i pushed into the stationery car in front. When the car was being repaired they said they replaced the speaker. They had the car for nearly 6 weeks the car has being repaired well and dont have any complaints with the repair and i am a fussy sod. The bass from the speaker seems distorted and if the volume is loud it struggles with not deep bass but higher frequency tones. The flap that open the side panels in the combi has a plastic tab that was vibrating which i have put some tape behind it so it not causing a buzzing. Can anyone with a canton play some music ( bass test from you-tube) and adjust the fader totally to the rear and see if they experience and distortion. I have my doubts they replaced the subwoofer but before i start moaning i would like to know if its a design problem as if it is their not much they can do. Overall i was happy with the sound before the subwoofer stopped and was repaired. Maybe i am paranoid.
  8. I know my superb with the dcc their is a drastic change between modes, comfort is only suitable in my opinion for motor ways. Normal is mostly perfect. Sport is stiffer but you have to remember is not a sports car! I have 19inch wheels I don't know if that makes a difference or not. My eldest you suffers from motion sickness on long journeys is worse if the car is in comfort as it wobbles like a barge in bends Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  9. I just check mine, I don't have the storage under floor it must only be one the variable boot floor thing.
  10. Well I be dammed can you store the combi cover under the boot? Is that a variable boot floor you have? You learn something everyday. I was constantly bringing this cover in and out of the shed when I was putting the dog in the boot Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  11. I have a 190 dsg and my last car was the s2 170 dsg. I agree with the other posters that that their is little if any difference between the two apart from fuel consumption. The 170 was actually better. I used to get about 6.3 l/100k but the 190 on long term is 7.1 l/100k that's based over 4000km. Which is far off he stated mpg. I brought it back with a few other issues and they say it's good. It is also the first new car to use oil I have ever had. It used about 3/4 of a litre over the 4000km. The mph does not bother me but if you doing long commutes like you said it might be an issue for you. Overall I happy enough with the car. The handling of the s3 compared to the s2 also does not seem as good I even have the 19inch tyres compared go the 17 on the s2 this could be down to the oem tyres though. I tried the Audi throttle mod people mentioned here but it was doing something funny when changing from 2 to 1st on the dsg the car actually cut out twice so I put it back to the way it was. 12. Take a photo and post it and I will check sounds odd on both sides though Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  13. I don't think it's based on pressure, it uses the abs sensor to calculate the rolling circumference so if a tyre was under inflated it would rotate more over a set distance. May be check if one tyre is worn compared to the others. If you have Columbus I think it tell you which tyre with a red picture Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  14. Did you try remove the coding you put in and disconnect trailer wires or fuse you installed and see if acc fault clearsSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  15. I am no expert but would it be possible you connected the acc to power the trailer as you have an open circuit fault on the mod69 ? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  16. I know it's not related to album art does anyone know if you can reduce the sensitivity of touch screen . As it their is any bumps on the road it double taps the screen at you select the wrong thing! Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  17. I know insurance has gone mad in Ireland, my policy went up 200 this year on the car and 250 on the motorbike bike I expect a similar increase in the house insurance when it's due. Their a few places now offering 2 year policies now so at least you would know you be OK for 2 years. I may add zero penalty points and no claims.Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  18. I should say in the small print it did state the policy had to be active for 3 years. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  19. Is you no claim bonus protected? If it is it's just a minor inconvenience. I had a policy with fbd and a roof slate fell of the house and did the bonnet and wing in on my last superb, I had my ncb protected but they failed to honor it as would you believe you had to have the policy for 3 year until then it was only step back despite on the policy saying full ncb protection! I even rang the Insurance ombudsman about it. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  20. I think it was an option even on l&k in Ireland Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  21. Does anyone now how to enable driver fatigue Alert? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  22. Hold the power button down for ten seconds it does a full reboot Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  23. You can see I can only activate lane control their is no predictive box to checkk? I must have missed some thing but I double checked the guide above. I flicked through all the relevant modules but could not see some that looked relevant to my novice eyes[emoji23] Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  24. Hello folks, i coded this today and it worked! I rebooted radio as gizmo said by holding power button for 10 seconds and i reset all the faults that were generated afterwards. and it worked so thanks again for the help and of course the patience. i tried it on a short drive and it identified to white lines and corrected to get to the center of the lane not as fast as i thought it would though. I read somewhere on the forum their is a setting you should tick some thing like predict the lane or extrapolate anyone see this?? I took screen captures of each step but cant figure out how to attach.
