  2. Were you at a Total Vauxhall RR day or somet???
  3. Either way, Longlife III is the best oil you can put in the vRS PD motor.
  4. im gonna have a crack at doing this now, got a hole in drivers bolster and need a new cover. Handy, thanks fellas
  5. Mines been doing it alot recently maybe due to colder weather? But anyway, i work for a VW dealer so i got one of the lads to plug the old girl into the diagnostics and came back with no faults but, he did say it was that black vacuum box making the noise.
  6. Longlife III and Synta Gold are 2 different oils aren't they?? Thought Synta Gold is a fully synth oil that you would usually put in a interval serviced petrol motors? I may be wrong though....
  7. sort of agree there although, i do like the modern look of the aero blades but theyre pants imo, dont last long at all! not worth the extra money over the standard Bosch blades. VAG G060/G052 and starndard Bocsh blades all the way!!
  8. New window switch, 2 minute job. Quite common with VW's
  9. Sounds about right matey, Most VW dealers stock it VW Quantum Platinum PD oil 5W40 (Silver bottle) for interval serviced or VW Quantum Longlife III 5W30 (Gold bottle) for variable serviced I go for the Longlife III all the time no matter what service intervals im on. Mark
  10. 1K0 is VW part number, as 1K is the mk5 Golf model if im not mistaken? But the VAG range do share some part numbers
  11. why not try the OE aero wipers from skoda themselves? Ive always used them with no problems at all
  12. Whats the point in that comment?! All the guy wants is some sort of positive advice not some smart arsed comment that you should really keep to yourself! Im sure you wouldnt want the same when you post up a thread for some advice???????? thought not

  16. what about the sporthatch astra SRi CDTi (150 bhp)? really nice looking car! but that not that much quicker than a standard vRS in its standard state but they map nicely to 200bhp! Seat Leon FR/Cupra's 150 & 170's, Golf GTD's and the A3 also get my vote. Mark

  22. Whats the best option for mounting the numberplate once the OE plastic surround is cut away for the FMIC? Are there any brackets for a side mount plate? maybe retro-fit an Evo side mount surround? How has anybody else got round this, legally? Cheers, Mark
