I do , garage say injectors will not take load test so need replacing , I have multimeter only resistance of coils around 2k .

Hello readers, Looking for advice on changing injectors. On my way up to cheshire from nottingham after 2 hours motoway driving glow plug light flashing then engine light came on, called brakedown service plugged his scanner and gave me the news all four injectors faulty. upon taking the car to my local garage they confirmed i need new injectors £1600 fitted. I have done some research found some recon units siemens 03L103277B £160 each. Hoping I can rise to the challange to fit myself understand units need coding to complete. any advice would be welcome. hi, pete, I decided to have a new wiring loom fitted by a local auto electrician, dont no what he has done with the old wiring loom .

no not sorted, have an local auto electrician coming to fit new door harness and bellows. I did find the broken wire made a connection and the windows worked as they should but, at least four of the wires inside the bellows showed damage , best to have new harness i think. as i have said i removed the bellows on the door side fixed the wire but could not get the bellow to fix back . thankyou for your time. there is not much info on the door side bellow fitting as most people find wires close to the door post connection block damaged .Cheers nz100

hi, there, if you go on ebay > look for VW 1k0959843C you will see a picture. . I looked for the broken wire inside the bellows but could not find so i removed the speaker put my hand in and pushed out the bellow . thanks for your time.

Thankyou for your reply, I have taken off the bellows on the right hand door side , Part number 1k0959843C to repair a broken window wire grey and white , I have looked on youtube and searched this foram to find out how to fit the bellow back, but fail to see our it fits, there is no rubber lip to hold the rubber in place like a grommet so Iam lost as to how it fitted. Hi, there is many topics about the failure of wirers passing from the door post and the doors, well i have a wire which has broke so the power windows do not work as they should. I had to remove the door rubber boot to get access to the broken wire, However I should have pulled some harness through the boot to do the repair. so may question is has anyone else removed the door side of the boot. I cannot see how the boot was fixed in place. there is 2 plastic tabs and thats it. I do intend fitting a new harness as a number of wires have insulation damage. Is the door side of the boot glued in place? cheers.

Hi, pete, thankyou for your advice , it is the gray and white wire which is the proplem, I connected a fly lead across to test and the windows opened and closed as they should. the insulation on a number of wires is split or small sections missing . In veiw of this I have taken the decision to buy a new harness. If I come across any problems with the near side door I may choose to use your service . one again Thankyou for your advice.

hi, pete , yes grey & white pin 5 , there is damage to more wires insulation broken exposing conductors , I going to order new wiring loome and take it from there as to repair difficult restricted access. Cheers pete

Just bring you a update , I have found a broken wire at the hinge as you said. Going to try and move the rubber boot on the door side as this will give me access to the broken wire, possible may be able to solder a new wire in place without removing door trim, I will try anyway. Once again Thankyou ,will keep you updated.

Skoda mk2 driver side power window faulty. If the battery has been disconnected then reconnected the window will operate as normal for about 10 minites then fails to operate. I have looked in the handbook and followed advice if the battery has been disconnected , no change, very strange that when the battery is reconnected the window operates as normal then fails. this surgests wiring and switch are fuctioning as normal. so I am lost to what the proplem might be. would appriaciate advice thanks.

Thanks Cocain, I have seen the video, but it looks a long winded way to achieve access to the motor. Ihave a haynes manual on the mk 1 & Mk2 just a few bolts a tug and there it is. As I look into the back of the bottom of glove compartment I notice the plastics are not the same, just as the back may be removable giving access to the motor, I have tried gently sliding a nife down between the breakline to see if I CAN GET MOVING. mostly cars are designed with maintenance in mind. I thankyou for researching the video but must say looks a very long way to crack the nut. The car is a skoda Fabia Elegance no referal in the haynes book to this variant. Cheers.
