  1. That’s why I liked the car. Usually I’m all about OEM+ which would imply that the Rieger parts would be a bit to much. But it does look rather nice.
  2. It already has those parts installed
  3. All mods are cosmetical, well and for the ears Nothing on the engine has been changed and to be honest 220bhp are way more than a driving license can handle in the Netherlands... The car originally can with the black pack. In combination with the white paint and red stripe in the leather I really like it. Modifications: - Spacers front and rear - Front grill in "RS" mesh style - Rieger spoiler lip on front bumper - Rieger side skirts - Rieger diffuser - Rear bumper top cover in black - Both Skoda logo's paint in black and white (instead of standard black with chrome) - Eissenmann Stainless steel cat-back exhaust I only did some vcds-mods thus far (set the soundaktor to 0%). And activate tailgate close with the dashboard-button and remote control. I do intend to install polybushes on rear of front wishbohnes to stop the creaking.
  4. Tested this morning, cold engine, ac on Low + blower on high -> fan kicked in immediatly. So it does seem to work as intended.
  5. I think I caused the damage to the beak in the connector myself. I suppose I stuck the tip of the multimeter probe in a bit to forcefully. But I guess the connector wasn’t properly clicked on. ”compressor run in” nevertheless still is unavailable. So I indeed think the N280 was shot. Time will tell. But be nice to hear from other Fabia owners with the new fan + a B unit.
  6. Hallelujah!! When I put the connector back on the N280 I noticed it has a very tight fit around the plug of the new N280 valve. Maybe it wasn't properly connected after all? Who knows, but this is really nice way to kick of the weekend. 00705 & 00706 are still there. But I set the temp to low and the fan kicked in (engine was cold). So I suppose unit B is able to communicated via CAN with ECU to request fan cooling. Would it be possible to verify if this indeed is the case.
  7. Measured both wires again. Minus from N280 to battery = perfect. Signal from N280 to Climatronic is perfect. I did noticed that one of the beaks in the N280 had quite a gap. Corrected that, hope it helps. No I’ll have to put everything back together.
  8. Yep, (still) isn’t there The 2 rods are welded onto the chassisleg. The loom is tied to one of them. No relaybox there. I’ll take a picture later today.
  9. Thanks for your reply. I’m talking about: Basic Settings -> Compressor run in This is mandatory, but the option is unavailable in 08 HVAC in my car (which should not be).
  10. Tomorrow I’ll also try to check the fan, to see if I can find a built date on it somewhere.
  11. Or could it be something mechanical in the compressor after all. Pully incl. nut spins. Compressor never has made any stranges noises. Mechanic also didn’t noticed anything peculiar when he changed the valve. So I would say it isn’t the compressor. I think buying a C or D unit is the only option there is left, because I need to carry out the compressor run in.
  12. Well this evening wasn’t well spend. I took apart the loom from altenator to 8p connector. All is in good nick. So tomorrow I can wrap it up again. And put everything back together. Brainwave: I think I’m in a loop. ECU oversees proceedings and detect the new N280 valve. Blocks valve because compressor run in hasn’t been carried out. But I’m unable to start this procedure (see screenshot) -> ECU keeps blocking the compressor. Blockage is now causing 00898 to pop up in 08. So I think my best bet is: Put the loom back together. And to be 400% sure, check loom (2 wires from N280 connector) by measuring the resistance. Ground merges somewhere below the battery box. Buy a C or D Climatronic unit and pray that it will be able to perform the compressor run in. Any other suggestions? VIN as shown in VCDS matches sticker in trunk.
  13. Thanks for all the input, I alreadt tried to get nearer to the fan, diffucult to get access to. Lets see how the loom looks first The loom looks as old as the car and standard as well. Really really strange.
  14. The posted 3 errors are from 08. Only used 01 to test the fan. Errors 00705 & 00706 are not related to the 00898 (my humble opinion). Please keep in mind, the aircon did work (intermittently). So I’ll check the loom again. I hope this resolves 00898. And considering “B” should be able to ask fan to operate, I think currently climatronic is not able to ask for forced/additional coolingfrom fan. I therefore think I should try a C or D unit in order to resolve 00705 & 00706. Im 100% sure I do not have the fan relay unit :). Loom is identical to schematics. P.S. VW has 40 years to arrange the additional 2 months/year. I suppose we have to wait and see.
