  1. do you know if it’s that colour at the rear light itself? I’m planning on splicing in, in the boot, behind the plastic panelling so that I can run the wiring through the headliner.
  2. I’ve recently received a rear camera kit that’ll plug into my cars head unit. It’s a 2011 MY (so post facelift), does anyone have any recommendations where I could tap into the reverse +12V? I had a look at swapping out the reverse bulb but it appears that there’s a connector that goes into the body, so I can tap in inside the car. Would this be a good location and which wire am I looking for? Thanks!
  3. I tried removing the C pillar trim and couldn't get the middle-top clip out. Is it just a question of yanking/prying the clips loose or is there a technique that I'm missing here?
  4. I’m struggling to get the panels in the boot off to access the wiring for the tail lights. Do you remember how you got them off?
  5. Ooh I appreciate the heads up. I’ve only just ordered the kit today so I’ll probably be back here later for more help/guidance but I’m leaning towards the headliner router. Thanks again!
  6. I’ve spoken to the seller of the camera who has confirmed that I’ll need to tag into the positive of the reverse light. He says he’s designed it to be as plug and play as possible but it needs to go into the head unit (RCD330), a ground, ACC12 at the fuse box and the reverse light. I tried to get off the bottom trim yesterday and it didn’t go well, which is why I asked here. I’ll investigate the headliner route you mentioned. Any ideas where I could place the delay box? Unfortunately my car doesn’t have steering wheel controls 😕
  7. how did you run the cable from the boot into the roof? I need to tap into the reverse bulb as well.
  8. I'm planning on swapping out the stock swing unit for an RCD330 unit from Ddren. I figured if I'm already swapping out the head unit, it supports a reverse camera and I may as well. Has anyone got any experience running the wiring for this? I've never done anything like this before and I tried removing the trim from the sills earlier today to evaluate the difficulty of the job but I couldn't get it to budge. Link to camera.
  9. I believe it’s a 12 valve - the engine code is CHFA.
  10. Hi all, Looking to buy my first car. I found a 2011 1.2 Fabia (60hp) with 112k miles. How reliable are these cars once they get older/up there in terms of mileage? Anything I should be looking for in specific? Can add a link to the listing if it's allowed here. Cheers!
