  1. Hi People, Hopefully someone can advise. Having a cold idle issue with my mk2 vRS 2.0T FSI. When starting it in under 5*C temps it shoots up as normal but when the revs drop back down it stops at 1000RPM and starts to fluctuate the Revs and misfire on all cylinders (Primarily no.4), as if it cant find where to idle. Sometimes dropping to 600 ish then going back to 850 ish. If I use the accelerator I cant hold it still as the car drops back down then shoots up to where my foot wants the RPM to be. Occurs for about 2min then its fine. Drives perfect other than that, power delivery is perfect. The misfires shake the whole car. If above 1000RPM using the pedal it barely misfires and just fluctuates. New sparks, PCV, Timing done in the past and MAF. I've got 2 codes when this occurs, no lights on dash. p0519 p0069 Also had a P0299 for a while but I believe this may be unrelated as they don't correlate when they pop up. I've got a feeling this could be the car asking for a carbon clean but I'm not completely sure. Hopefully will be in the garage soon but for now anyone got any ideas? Thanks!!

  3. Hi people, bought this car in Feb. Done over 11k miles so far and as the cold is coming in I've noticed it struggles to "Find" idle and stay there for the first 30s-50s after morning start up. Seems to run on 3 cylinders when this occurs, I'm thinking coils personally. The car shoots up drops to 1100rpm then starts to drop lower and lower violently till it struggles to idle but doesn't stall. I can rev it a bit to keep it from doing this if I stay above 1000rpm for the first 20s. 2.0 TSI Recent Spark plugs Pulls amazing once warmed up and idle is steady at 770rpm Starts & idles fine in temps above 3C - 4C No Lights on dash and no codes when this occurs. (Need to check for them again) Doesn't burn oil Averages 32-35 mpg 140k Miles Allegedly had a new engine + turbo at 116k PXL_20221209_075736747_3.mp4
  4. Decided to service my Octavia rs last week and found this small leak coming from this bolt near the turbo. Looking for advice on what it could be and what I'd need to replace. I wiped it away and it slowly started to form, after 30 minutes it still hasn't dropped so it is a very, very slow leak. Also included a pic as this car is so good looking!
